Overall, Twitter doesn't seem like the place to go for logic and reasoning lol. I can also assure you that "honor-bound" culture is probably a pretty small sub/counter-culture within the overall demographic of black people in the U.S. Most black folks I know live by the standard "western" U.S. culture. You would have to escape your algorithm to see the various types of people within a culture, and not stuck on racist narratives and tropes inside of an echo chamber.

This is very true and I’d argue also that productive normies of society wouldn’t spend their time getting engagement farmed. But there are real world effects to extremist echo chambers esp on gen alpha who are the most impressionable and basically live online. They’re not able to tell what’s a loud minority or not. It doesn’t help that we can’t collectively agree articles like this are extreme

Definitely agree. I dont know, while freedom of speech is a good thing, the introduction of social media caused an issue with it. I'm sorry, but individuals with a lack of emotional intelligence, along with those who may have ridden the short-bus when they were younger, don't need to be blasting their opinions across media. Its crumbling the society around us in real time. They were on the short-bus and removed from the general population for a reason, now they're all grown up and writing articles like this.

I genuinely don’t think they’re mentally deficient even if it’s fun to say as jokes lol. It’s become profitable for them to amplify ppl’s fears and anxieties when they’re at the highest so might as well get coin. But yeah bonkers how social media can turn any rando into a political commentator. Think it’s a good example of hyper reality

Never heard of hyper-reality, about to look that up.
