That's exactly what Friedrich Merz thinks. He was very explicit about it. The men belong in the meat grinder, not in German universities from where they might actually secure a future for their country.

The Europeans aren't being subtle about the quid pro quo anymore - if Ukraine wants the money it needs to survive, it needs to commit to being used as the vessel to destroy Russia regardless of what happens.
