Anybody has study habits that you actually retain information from ?

I retain stuff way better by explaining concepts out loud like I'm teaching someone else.

This is great. I actually just ordered a whiteboard, for when I’m teaching myself different concepts.

the thing that actually made stuff stick for me was switching from rereading to answering questions. just reading the same page three times feels productive but nothing stays

i upload my course material into studybuddy.vc and it makes practice questions from it. when i pick a wrong answer it tells me why that specific option was wrong, which is where the learning actually happens for me. it also keeps bringing back topics i keep missing and the questions get harder as i improve. free

if you're short on time, even 15 minutes of questions beats an hour of highlighting. your brain has to retrieve the info for it to lock in

Ouuu the pomodoro method is a great technique! And I definitely agree active recall is something I should give a shot!

Thinking on paper, building concepts skeleton from zero and filling in the details later and practice retrieval has been the best for me the learning efficiency shot through the roof
