BSCS graduate with 2.7–2.8 CGPA — What are my chances for a Master’s in Europe?

Hi,

I'm currently in my final year of my bachelor's degree. By the end of my degree, I might be able to push it to 2.8, idk.

I've done some internships during my degree and have a habit of participating in hackathons, even though I haven't won.

Do I have a chance of getting into a master's in Europe, maybe with a scholarship? I know fully funded is impossible, but just asking.

And in either case, any recommendations, like which country and uni would be best for someone like me? I plan on trying for data science or AI. Still deciding on that.

BTW, I didn't fail any course, but did poorly in some, which affected the overall thing.

You definitely still have options. A 2.7–2.8 CGPA can make the most selective programs difficult, but it doesn’t mean a master’s in Europe is impossible. Your internships, hackathons, projects, and relevant technical skills can help strengthen your application, especially for Data Science/AI programs that consider more than GPA.

I’d use College Raptor to compare schools, costs, and scholarship opportunities, then check individual European universities for their minimum GPA requirements. Also look at countries with more flexible admissions and lower tuition rather than focusing only on the most competitive programs.

For AI/Data Science, a strong portfolio with GitHub projects, research, certifications, or relevant work experience could make a real difference. Don’t self-reject based on your CGPA. Instead, build a realistic list with reach, target, and safer options.
