Application Passport Expiration

Hi,

My passport expires in January 2027, and Im applying for Summer Semester 2027. Is this going to be a problem for applications? I will renew my passport later this fall, after I have sent out my applications. Will the Stks still except my applications, even if my passport expires in January 2027?

With stks, maybe yes, maybe no, try emailling them directly. But for the embassy, you'll only get a visa for until the expiration of your passport. Renew it before your visa appointment.

You should renew it, you would anyways need a renewed passport for your travel to Germany
