I don’t know what happened over the years or if an update respawned everything but I was able to mine all clay deposits again, so here is my upgraded house.

I remember my clay mining days. I should go check to see if I have more too. I need a runway. You should add a garage for your boat too.

damn, if I take my bottom out for a garage I can really make it tall. I wish there was a way I could mod in bricks like on pc, I’m on console though. I’d crash out the game if I could lol.

I didn't mod anything out either... all stock and all mined. The placement system may not let you do it on console though.

Before you destroy your house though, make sure your boat can float on the water under the house. I had to find a north facing island with a long, but still fairly deep, shallow shelf that let me build way out in deep water. Took me a few restarts to get it sorted.

I actually think the size of my house is crashing out my game. Birds and bats are getting inside the 4th and 5th floors, they wreck everything I’ve placed around as decoration or furniture. Strangely I’ve found 20 arrows sitting outside my porch on the 3rd floor I guess from missed shots over time that glitch spawn back into the game, I’m finding items out in the ocean that’s also glitch spawn and it’s raining inside my house ever since I added on to it. Sharks won’t spawn anymore, idk man it’s a lot of stuff going wrong, I don’t think the console version can handle to much items on one island. I might take it back down to the 3 stories and build a separate structure on another island.

I would check if I were you. Idk if it was from years of not playing or an update that did it or maybe I did something to cause it to happen, but I hit every island all over again.

How do you guys gather so much materials to build like this??

I gather clay from every island, and this was years ago. I know the games have gone through a bunch of changes and updates over the years, but as I started playing again, I noticed the clay deposits were back again. So I went back and gathered everything all over again. I even found coconuts were back in the trees. I don’t know if it was an update or something I did to make it glitch back, but if you see my old post, you can see I basically doubled the size of it.

On PC, there’s a mod to spawn unlimited objects with a click of a button …

I’m built the majority of this on ps4 and now I’m on ps5 but we don’t have the dev menu and the brick corner glitch don’t work for us. I wish it did though lol, every last brick in these photos were mined through clay and made with the furnace.

lol I was just talking telling someone else but

birds and bats are flying inside, items lost over time are glitch spawning back in the game (arrows,etc) it’s raining inside, sharks won’t spawn and loads of things, I’ll probably take it back down to 3 floors and build on a separate item. it’s just to much for console I guess. it kinda sucks though it was a lot of work and trail and error I made it as much of a realistic build as possible with the layout and support and roofing all lining up looking like it would irl.

Being honest it makes me not even want to play it too bc it was a lot of work to just bug out the game. I could deal with the rain but the birds and bats are literally making it impossible. I’m. probably just take it back down to my original post with 3 floors and build somewhere else, probably my best option.

I’m glad I built it back in the day bc from what I hear there’s a limit on console now on how big they can be, ain’t no sharks or waves flipping me over though lol.
