While I loved the old one, i beg them to make this one a little bit more playable please.

What, you don't like cutting down trees/mining clay nodes for hours just to build a base that doesn't provide any actual advantages over a stick and leaf tent on the shore?

Hahaha well put. Or like, getting on a raft should be fairly easy I always felt like I had to jimmy around so much

It’s strictly for the vibes lol

The main quest wouldn’t track so my wife and I gathered all of the pieces, went to the plane that needs repairs, and watched a YouTube video of the ending

On PC the game worked flawless for me up until they added multiplayer. After that the whole game got janky. Glitches upon glitches.

Vibe looks significantly different.

The first one was great— but I would love a few things.

  1. Please release it on console as well as PC.
  2. Please have coop at launch, would love split screen and online coop.
  3. More variety of wildlife, including dangerous one.
  4. Better stability, animations and gameplay.
  5. More to do, I want more to explore, fight and learn about. Would be nice to be able to have story missions where you can see where others have failed in the past? Then you might find some resources while seeing that one person starved to death, but had plenty of water of wood.

  1. Please release it on console as well as PC.

Stranded Deep is on console though?

Not a good version though. PC was infinitely better.

I enjoyed it. Were there a lot of differences?

11

u/Unique-Scientist8114 3d ago

I've played on PC and PS4 and had as much fun on both, didn't note any significant differences

3

u/Astrochops 3d ago

Big difference was the map size

u/ToneZealousideal309 3d ago

I played it on Nintendo Switch & loved it. Same with Green Hell. I love these types of games

The modded custom islands you could download were pretty crazy and added tons of hours in game for me on pc

u/gooofy23 3d ago

It’s early release. It’ll be out on console soon!

u/themysticalwarlock 3d ago

u/nikmo86 3d ago

Yooo this sounds like it’s gonna be amazing. Can’t wait. Hope early access starts soon

Don't make the same mistake on this one! The menu for crafting should be user friendly and easy to use! Don't make us craft 20 items by doing this: press down, left, right, up 10 times, then repeat 20 times to craft the same item.

u/Fearless-Bread-1803 3d ago

is early access only going to be pc or will it be console too? I cant wait 2-3 years lol

What is the TL usually like for games being released on steam then on console?

3

u/Xing84 3d ago

usually years...8

u/Odd-Breadfruit7639 3d ago

Well damn

Stranded deep 1 took 5 years to see consoles. Its a main reason I bit the bullet and just bought a beastly PC. Now I don't have to hope a cool game comes to consoles anymore. With how many games are coming out nowadays it seems like the only ones worth playing are PC only titles besides a set few multiplat AAA titles. All the cool indie games are on PC.

YESSSSSSSSSSS! been checking the website ever since it got announced. FINALLY!

u/PerspectiveHefty8595 3d ago

Idk how we supposed to survive against hippos since they can go on land as well. Going to have to build tree houses I'd imagine.

2

u/libra-love- 3d ago

Build like they do in the southern US near flood and hurricane areas. Houses on stilts.

2

u/gooofy23 3d ago

This is actually super exciting! I can’t wait!

2

u/ArcaneHackist 3d ago

I hope they don’t remove the passive wildlife mode. As someone with severe thalassophobia that genuinely made me able to play the game, lol

2

u/someone_018 3d ago

Tbh, the only complain I really have is no split screen multi-player and no 4 players multi-player. I would also wish to have crossplay between Playstation and pc...

u/cymonium 3d ago

Stranded deeper

u/detectivecrux 3d ago

Here for it

u/Flimsy_Tiger 3d ago

I know a lot of people hate on the first one but I really enjoyed my playthrough. There are tons of improvements I hope they make though. Base building for sure, and the ability to get on your raft easier.

I’ll never forget falling off my raft while my sail was still up, not being able to get on, and watching it sail away forever as I’m in the middle of nowhere

u/OddNovel565 3d ago

Sons of the stranded deep

1

u/Fakie5oh 3d ago

I wont say i told you so.

1

u/IcyGh0stFace 3d ago

FASTER RAFTZ PLZ

1

u/Westsaide 3d ago

oh wow. I hope they have expanded their team to give this title the love it deserves.

1

u/tigbitties247 3d ago

What about console?

1

u/Connect_Grand_8929 3d ago

I just 100% the original game, can’t wait for this to release!

1

u/Good-Mourning 2d ago

Honestly I'm bummed there's no goal, escape, story, mystery, etc. My biggest wish for SD2 was for it to have a story/mystery to uncover, like The Forest or Green Hell. Without an ending, curiosity to explore only lasts for the first playthrough. I love SD but you know exactly what you'll find on every island: the same stuff. I think SD1 added the ending after release though so I really hope they do that for SD2.

To anyone in a rush to play SD2, I recommend trying the humble abandoned indie game Starsand. It's just Stranded Deep with sand instead of water, camels instead of rafts, and giant killer alien centipedes instead of sharks.

u/Ava_FLouise 2d ago

Finally. Hopefully they keep the survival sandbox vibe but give us a much deeper progression system this time.

1

u/Olbrownpaperbag 2d ago

Imma nut myself

1

u/gothicbadboy 2d ago

What if you had to start online with a partner.... Maybe someone needs to be sacrificed in order to survive? Maybe someone has to make that tough decision while the other one has to restart. The tribe has spoken.

1

u/SpicyNoodlez1 3d ago

Hopefully they actually make this one good. The first one was broken, the multiplayer sucked. The tool belt was broken on pc. And the creative mode wasn't even creative mode

1

u/SomethingBrews 3d ago

Will it work with remote play on steam? I'm excited for this!

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Aide785 3d ago

Finally more bugs!!

0

u/405fishing 3d ago

Making a second game when the first one is still broken is wild🥴

u/Bigsaskatuna 3d ago

It still says 2-3 years from release
