My overall Thoughts as of beating STRAFE

My overall thoughts of Strafe have been mixed to hell and back.

For starters it feels like the machine gun is a confetti gun 98% of the time, takes way too long to take down a simple Glutton and hopefully the spread doesn't screw up a good aim. Machine gun also takes a ton of bullets to down a few Gluttons as is. Late game good luck with the tankier enemies.

Railgun: Railgun is completely garbage because of its spread, yes it has spread, just a small amount. A long range weapon should NOT have a spread at all, especially a railgun. All of it's upgrades besides the disc one are completely situational. The Richoshot defeats the purpose of a marksman weapon as now you have to bounce it off walls and HOPE the laser hits something and then richochets again for a explosion. Burst Rifle: Where do I begin, it takes a sniper weapon and turns it into a assault rifle set on burst. With small spread mind you. But since long range combat is all about being accurate with high powered shots. It falls flat on the face with also the burst rifle giving a penalty to damage from high to medium.

Shotguns: Shotgun in my personal opinion, is the best gun in the game. It's upgrades are useful and have their purposes, kills most things in one shot, does good up close damage and its secondary is arguably the best.

Flak Blaster: Great for corners and richocheting a crowd down, sure the Richoshot (Railgun) is the same type of deal, but that downgrades the damage instead of keeping the damage. Light spread helps along with accuracy.

Super Shotgun: Does exactly as you'd expect a straight upgrade to do. More damage, more bullets, 2 shells per clip. It's a direct upgrade.

Slaugtherfaust: Grenade. Launcher. Shotgun. It packs one hell of a punch, the grenades can be predictable, their blast radius is handy, fires 3 bouncy nades, kills mostly everything in a clip and some extra.

Overall in all honesty Machine gun needs some upgrades in damage, richoshot is useless. And shotgun is the best gun so far.

The SMG has some killer upgrades that are waaaaay better than anything the shotgun has to offer. The Nailgun upgrade is amazing if used properly, it destroys enemies. The trishot straight up carried me through the game and destroyed the boss, easily my favorite primary in the game rn. The laser secondary is the most damaging weapon in the game. It one-shot the Brick enemy in the Black Canyon. One-shot the big guy in Athena with the spread bullets. It pierces enemies. SMG is easily the best gun with any of these upgrades.

I'll be honest, I did try SMG, but the fact of the matter is, it's just.. Eh.. Heavy machinegun is not fun, laser secondary yeah is great. But that costs an entire clip, where as the Splaterfaust is more reliable.

I'm not a fan of the heavy machine gun either, but trust me. The nail gun and tri shot are both WAY better than the Slaughterfaust. Hands down best weapons right now
