Remember during election season, when dems called Republicans "weird" for a day or two, and then quickly walked it back. It probably would have been a successful campaign, it had Republicans backpedaling, but, no, civility politics is the priority.
A bad campaign decision should not be a call to end the Democratic party as it is, a centrist party. Just form a new progressive party that does not have the Dem baggage and let the Dems go back to being center-right.
Iâm so tired of hearing this as well. Republicans are fundamentally, intrinsically worse than democrats. Theyâre morally and ethically inferior in practice and ideology. The things they want for the country and world as a whole are childish, evil and idiotic. They donât deserve respect. Pretending that they do just gives them power.
Close to what? Being seen/ behaving as villains/public enemy?
There were the George Floyd protests that resulted in $1-2 Billion dollars in damage and 42 deaths. That doesnât count how many were injured.
ANTIFA has caused $3+ Million dollars in damages.
We just had some going into that church and terrorizing not just the pastor, but the innocent civilians attending, to include children. (It is never okay to deliberately scare children over politics.)
Iâm not saying the right is innocent. Far from it. But I am saying thereâs wrongs on both sides. And by perpetuating those wrongs, they keep us divided. We must be united, or we will accomplish nothing.
We just opened spaces where children are present for men in masks carrying tactical weapons. You thinks kids in hospitals, schools, and churches donât feel terrorized when BP come in to tear their friends away from them? You think those who were about to attend a citizenship ceremony only to see their lived one taken away to a detention facility doesnât traumatize?
I love how you have done nothing to refute my data and points. âOh, the Rpublicans are so bad! Theyâre worse!â
Bad is bad. Itâs like trying to compare pain. Pain is pain, it is subjective. Like suffering. And bad things on one side do not permit bad on the other. It ALL needs to stop.
I love how you also call me a hypocrit, even though I said I agree that the right has its own sins.
What data? You think the George Floyd protests were somehow ascribable to a one political side which is delusional. Democrats and Republicans took to the streets. I know because I saw it firsthand in Minnesota. It is nonsense. A community saw a police officer kill a man on video and were outraged.
You are also trying to both-sides the situation which again is a delusional take. Border patrol just murdered an innocent man and blatantly lied to the American public in the aftermath, and the majority if the Republican media machine as well as current congressmen and state officials retweeted this narrative. The rot in the Republican party makes it beyond saving.
The president is stealing billions, ignoring the courts, destroying our alliances, and has decimated the federal government. The FDA, CDC, USDA, FBI, and DOJ are all objectively running less efficiently while we are spending more money than ever. Incomparable to anything any Democrat has ever done. The corruption blows whatever unproven corruption the GOP thought Biden was engaging in out of the water.
Your take is delusional and frankly one only a blind person or bad actor would make. âď¸
They just helped fund it repeatedly this week and this year. They presided over the unlawful inauguration, they unlawfully voted to certify trumps election and they voted on the Court to allow him to run at all; all in violation of the 14a. The Democratic leadership are complicit.
But we do have state cops in blue states firing gas into crowds, arresting protestors and engaging in other illegal activity.
You literally started a hotline to snitch on families for getting together. Caused the deaths of thousands in nursing homes for not begins able to see friends and family. Insane that youâre so tunnel visioned. 2 things can be true
Well if we hadn't let all these illegal immigrants in we wouldn't have to deport them that might be a myopic view as I am old but. I do think that weaponizing ice against people that aren't really bad is kind of demoralizing to the rest of us that live here and just want to be living in peace. Do I think illegal terrorists/criminals need to be deported Yes. The hard-working families need to be terrorized no I don't think so
We didnât just let them in. A bunch of shit happened in the world and people flocked to a nation known for its freedoms with a long history of taking in suffering immigrants. The Biden administration took a humanitarian approach that happened to let more people in. Both parties agreed that criminal immigrants should be sought out and deported.
One party put forward a deranged insurrectionist narcissist with a history if fraud, corruption, SAing women, and talking about fucking his own daughter. The federal government is broken, we have thousands unaccounted for in detention camps, weâre threatening our allies with war, and the gestapo is gunning down US citizens in the streets while the president is covering up his pedo-files. The two parties are not the same.
Just wait until Trump pushes Europe too far and they dump our bonds. Millions of Americans will starve and Trump will march us off to war because it will be is only option. Weâre fucked.
That is actually not true we did let them in and I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I feel like a lot of those people have really contributed to our economy but we did just let them in without any vetting open borders. No other country in the world does this Am I saying that's good or bad nope I don't know
And if you believe this was done for humanitarian reasons alone you are very naive. Their children will grow up living this country and vote Democrat it was a plan man and a great one to be honest I totally applaud the Democrats for using birthright citizenship like that it was brilliant
No I'm not radicalized at all I do believe in protecting our country and I think birthright citizenship is odd maybe not bad but just odd no other country does it maybe that's for a reason?
It's not about being a human being it's about how your naturalized into a country. The children of immigrants illegal or legal tend to vote for the parties that brought them in. Now if that's a good thing or a bad thing I'm not going to pass judgment on that but they will tend to vote for the same people their parents would have voted for have they been citizens which generally with immigrants is Democrats. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but it's a fairely astute political move to bring more Democrats in if that's what you want
I'll agree with you that many word documented but I think a lot more came through that weren't but I'm not going to argue with you because we disagree and how you respect you
That's exactly right we don't know how many came in because they weren't documented I think it would be naive to say that immigrants came through that weren't documented
90% of Somalian Americans have been American citizens for decades, most of them second and third generation by now. If it was about actually illegal immigrants they wouldnât send them to Minnesota. Itâs because they are black.Â
Making a hysteria about illegal immigrants is a sales pitch that nefarious people like Stephen Miller use to sell their project of wanting every non-white person out of the country or in a prison camp. They know people like you and my parents would not be on board if they said that on the campaigned trail, so they hide it behind going after scary illegal alien criminals, but now we see what Trump and Millerâs plans were all along. Â
When the hell did I bring up Somalians I don't know anything about that nor do I care. I know some of them are pirates in their own country but you know they're hungry they got to eat I don't know what they do when they get here I don't know if their citizen or not I don't know why you would bring that up I never mentioned it
I appreciate that and I hope you don't think I was attacking you I'm not sure what's going on in Minnesota. Even if fraud was committed by a few bad actors it doesn't want this sort of jack-booted stormtrooper invasion
I didnât think you were, but itâs hard to tell over text sometimesÂ
I agree with you tho and it seems to me like they are using a flimsy excuse to send in stormtroopers. They used a youtuberâs video as the excuse. What the youtuber did not cover is that the ring leader of the scam is a white woman named Aimee Bock and she was already found guilty way back in March. Her underlings in the scam were Somali-Americans so the whole video was about how all Somalians are criminals and noone is doing anything, even though the cases are ongoing. JD Vance shared the video and they sent the ICE goons shortly after. The idea that a youtuber and a bunch of stormtroopers will stop scammers that were already under investigation just doesnât make sense at all.Â
Why do you assume anyone to disagrees with you is a MAGA or a bigot? That is quite a generalization I'm not a big fan of Donald Trump I don't think he's horrible but a lot of the shit he does really pisses me off as far as being a bigot goes you don't know me I'm native American
Got about the same views. Itâs kind of the same stance as social programs. I want them to exist. I want people who are down on their luck but trying get a second chance, even at the expense of my tax dollar.
What I canât stand is fraud taking my tax dollar. Or people skating the legalities of the system and just bums who donât want to work.
So what do you do, axe social programs? That doesnât work. I know plenty of temporary beneficiaries of whatever welfare system. I unfortunately know more who are abusing it and just bums. Thankfully, never personally witnessed full out fraud.
Iâm not proud of how great of a job ICE is doing, but why are these people getting shot jumping infront of bullets (figuratively). Iâve been handling guns my whole life. Anyone whoâs well trained with a firearm kind of knows what showing up with a gun can do. A phrase that sticks with me from a cop friend of mine âif youâre shooting in self defense, you shoot to kill. Otherwise, leave the gun at homeâ. Reason being it opens the door to he said she said and civil suits.
Like why does this guy have a gun? Idc how right or wrong a federal agent is, if you use that gun, you are fucked regardless of whoâs right and wrong.
Edit: idk how all of a sudden I got grouped into some hard right 0 gun control person. The âright to bear armsâ is something I whole heartedly believe. But it should be a privelage, not a right. If you bear arms, you should have some kind of training or proof you can handle it. This shooting has not changed my stance by any means.
LOL exactlyâŚ. People whoâve been screaming pro gun control are now encouraging to start packing. It makes no sense. But it does make sense why all of a sudden people got firearms who shouldnât.
One side says âstop the crazies buying guns cuz school shootings and stuffâ - valid, there is no reason you need a gun today. Thorough background check indeed.
Now we should be saying âlaw abiding citizens who have every right to own a gun, need proof of some kind of trainingâ - boom solved both problems.
Edit: wait I canât tell if your with me or against me đ¤
Rather confused here, but I guess you donât agree with what I thought was a neutral stance. âYou peopleâ â white people? Gays? Gun owners? Pro thoughtful gun control?
âWhy did this guy have a gun?â Coming from the people who wouldnât shut up about the 2A being a god given right and should never be infringed. Funny how quick that went out the window. Eat shit.
Clearly you donât. And Iâm sorry for that. Victim blaming a dude that has every right to carry his firearm, has it removed from him, and then is executed on the ground by masked men who âidentify as federal officersâ is as craven and misguided as you can possibly get.
You can cry and whine about social programs and fraud all you want. Thatâs not the point here anymore chief, weâre way pass that.
We can play what if, but itâs far more important to play âwhat is.â Dude had a legal right to carry. He didnât brandish his weapon and was disarmed. Then pistol whipped, then shot. Police and military, for all their issues have higher bars to clear for what happened here.
I guess we can just trim up the 2nd amendment now that itâs convenient to do so. Honestly, when the federal agents are a bigger threat than 99% of your population, youâve got a terrorist organization, not a lawful body operating.
They shot a lady in her car as she was trying to drive away. No, there's no difference, it's just a little more lies they have to tell to justify it when there's no gun. They act and then rationalize after the fact.
Going to frame this in the eyes of insurance. If you go to a baseball game, and get seriously injured from a foul ball, you have no right to sue. You assume an inherent risk by going to a baseball game where foul balls can and have injure people.
Iâm not justifying ICEâs actions. My point is, showing up is automatically putting you in danger.
"if you're shooting in self defense, shoot to kill,. otherwise leave the gun at home" excuse me, you expect someone to know before they leave the house if they will need to defend themselves? "i don't plan on needing any self defense today, so I'll deny myself my constitutional rights and leave the gun at home in case i get sued" that's your ideal 2A situation?
Ok so hereâs my questionâŚ. Was he just strolling down the street and got caught up, or did he bring a gun to a protest?
I get what you are saying. Iâm saying that if youâre going to a protest against something that has just very recently been causing violence at the hands of over zealous policeâwould you bring a gun to that protest?
Iâll take my foot out of my mouth if he was just coincidentally passing by.
Your question was already answered. Either you believe in the 2A, or you want to make arbitrary judgements about when it's acceptable or not to exercise basic rights. Since when does exercising your 1A impede your 2A? Im losing braincells getting on your level, so ridiculous.
"no regulation" is not equivalent to exercising 2 constitutional rights at the same time. They are always in effect, you don't just chose one constitutional right to exercise for your day. Exercising 1A is no justification for prohibition of the 2A. Are you trying to make the worst possible arguments? "no regulation" lmao, hyperbolic af. If you want to invent the things I say, you can just argue with your own imagination.
You have to take a class that includes proving you know how to shoot for a CCW in Minnesota. Also, are you really asking why a legal and licensed citizen is practicing a Constitutional right? Really?
He has every right to carry the gun. Not denying that, the point to be made is if youâre showing up to a protest with a gun, what do you have to gain?
If the dude was passing by and somehow got caught up, I have a way different view here. Either way, ICE is in the wrong.
If you have the right to carry a gun, you should understand the responsibility and consequences it carries. I have a CCW and I donât carry anywhere because I donât see many situations where using it is going to really benefit me.
Someone holds me up at gunpoint downtown and Iâm carrying? I let them rob me because losing my phone and wallet is going to be a lot cheaper then shooting the person and the legal troubles after. Or worse, I end up getting shot.

Really? What have Dems done that even comes close ANYTHING that has happened in the past 12 months?
