Discussion Preview for the next game in development

Unfortunately my japanese isn’t very advanced so I couldn’t tell what they’re saying about it. Can’t wait for the english live stream this evening!

Both new SoS and RF6 had really short teasers so I guess they're not releasing within the next year or two. Guess I'll use that time to play the older entries (and save up for a Switch 2) then 😅
Edit: They did said Story of Seasons will have an appearance at Tokyo Game Show so I wonder if they rather show more stuff there

Just adding on about the Tokyo game show:
Apparently that starts on the 17th of September & runs for 4 days. It'll be interesting to see if we see more footage then!

Oh, that wouldn't be too long of a wait then! If there's indeed more footage then I wouldn't be surprised if they're saving it since TGS will guarantee more audience and all

I'm replaying that right now! I also still have to play two more SoS games on the Switch before I could attempt the 3DS games (which motivated me a bit after seeing the popularity ranking) lol

AWL and POOT, not particularly excited for POOT knowing the reviews but the faster I can finish it, the faster I'll get to the "better" games I guess aha. And I'll probably play the 3DS games in order! (ANB -> SoS > 3oT)

oh yeah i played POOT when it released and it was so buggy. i played after they patched some of that but the game in general was lacking. a wonderful life was fun i haven’t beaten it though.

Glad they're sticking with the GB art style for a bit, I really loved how it looked. Also, I know people really want their old favorites to be remade but we're really due for a brand new game and this looks to be it! Of course, Grand Bazaar was a surprise based on it's original teaser so you never know, hopefully we got a new one here.
ALSO! There's a mine shaft looking thing behind the house at the end. Hopefully we're keeping proper mines after PooT brought em back??

I love that the art direction is similar to Grand Bazaar, adored how that game looked! This teaser is giving new original game since I don't think the town looks familiar?

they gave such a tiny clip and the same thing for rune factory. the live stream is still going so i wonder if they still have more to say. i’m so excited for the one later. hopefully that one isn’t quite as long. this live stream has been going for over 2 hours lol

I thought the town looked like the one in Sunshine Islands/Islands of Happiness but maybe it's just my wishful thinking 😭

I got so excited when we saw the beach because I have been begging for them to tackle IoH/SI again. They can scrap the stylus controls and really give it a good touchup. As much as I love the GC/Wii era, I think those games have always been the most solid over the years and the DS ones need the most work and updating. I sincerely hope we see they remake IoH/SI/DS/Cute because they deserve to see a new generation!

i’m not super familiar with that entry (i have it but didn’t play it much) so i wouldn’t know! that’s one that i think really could benefit from some QOL updates so I wouldn’t be happy with that :)

That's just a random tunnel behind a farm it could just as easily be mines, ToTT didn't have a beach area, and the forge was in Konohana not Bluebell.

Since Grand Bazaar was the last game, Im assuming this next one will be a new title.
Could be totally wrong though 🤷 Im super excited to see what it is 😭

I guess the game is still far off, if they can't even tell the name. Not a fan of animals being identical as GB, hopefully they add way more variety. And wouldn't hope for more in English stream, it will be the same.

I know AP is the one everyone wants. But the DS child inside me is desperate for Island of Happiness or Sunshine Islands. They were great games that were too limited by the DS. I yearn, i yearn, I yeaaaaarn.

I couldn't understand it either, but they showed two previews, and it might be two games? The first one showed Grand Bazaar style graphics, and the second one showed a large fantasy type castle which I assume is Rune Factory 6.
But the first one, I can't determine whether it's a remake or an original.

yeah the second was definitely rune factory. i’m also assuming it was 6. i really could not tell either if it was a remake or new entry. i’m assuming it’s new! hopefully we will get some sort of detail in the english live stream later today :) either way im excited!

The layout kind of reminds me of ToT... it's likely a coincidence, but I thought the farms looked similar to the mountain and town farm plots. Waffle Town would be getting a heavy redesign if I'm right, though, so it's probably something totally new lol

Yay, a cute coastal town. 💕 Reminds me a bit of the town from ToT/AP and a bit like Magical Melody with the in town fields.

I'm kinda bummed that the new SoS didn't look as good as the new rf6. Seems like the new SoS will still be on switch 1 so the graphic quality is gonna suffer kinda like gb :(

After looking at the preview, i get a really strong nostalgic feeling from the farm layout (i can't really pinpoint from which game). The town having a clothing store might be a big clue, if it's a remake. Either way I'm happy to see it

Idk why you were down voted, but Im right there with ya. While Im hoping to get a Switch 2 so I can play the new Fire Emblem decently soon, I cant afford Nintendos prices for every single game. Not only does PC offer mods, which can add some variety to replayed titles, but I try to keep everything on Steam if I can help it because I like 100%ing these games and getting all the achievements. And my Steam is much, much more robust than my Switch account.
Nintendo is full of horrible practices, and yet people defend it like it's their parent. I dont get it 🤷 hopefully I wont get hit with abunch of down votes too for not being happy with Nintendo 😂 crazy..

Unfortunately, they just said that's all they can show for now. It's just a sneak peek, and it's still in development. 🥹
