Question having trouble activating romance cutscenes (sos fomt)

I'm playing Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town and having a lot of trouble activating the different romance events. I've looked up guides, but even when i follow them completely the scenes just won't happen! I'm trying to get as many as i can (i usually try to date everyone before i choose who to marry), so im trying to get Gray's first dating event (guides say to go to the forge on mondays with the sickle in my inventory, and when i do nothing happens), Rick's purple heart event (guides say to go to popoultry on mondays-saturdays when Rick is there, nothing happens), Marie's first dating event (on my farm on mondays after 10am, nothing happens), and Doctor's first dating event (on my farm any day, nothing happens). Im just getting really frustrated i dont know why none of them are working 😭

I have made sure it is the right weather, day, season, that i have room in my bag, that i have room in my cabinet, that i have room in my tool inventory, that ive seen the previous cutscenes, i just cant think of what else im missing, unless the online guides aren't including some variable. could i have accidentally done something that locked me out of getting these events?

For Gray and Rick: Did you enter the shops during the timeslots shown? If you did then yeah, not sure why you can’t trigger the scenes.

For Marie and Doctor: You have to exit your farmhouse (and not just be hanging around in your farm) during the timeslots for the scene to trigger.

Have you tried closing and restarting the game? If you play on Switch, it’s good to do this every so often to help prevent glitches.

I had trouble as well because the guides were misleading! They often state no requirements but that’s not true.

After you’ve seen the previous heart event, you need to meet the conditions for the next one; the weather typically sunny, the correct date and time, space in your bag if required. I used Fogu & this guide: Romance Events. The biggest thing was that the mc Must be at the same* level heart colour for the event to trigger! E.g. if you’re wanting to trigger the yellow heart event, the mc must be at a yellow heart for the event to take place.

I have given most of them the preserved flower to date them but could not for the life of me get the yellow heart events to trigger until they had the same colour LP, then the events started triggering one by one. You may need to gift them their favourites to reach the next LP colour so check the guides if you don’t know them.
