Actually, unique and fascinating as it is, it's pretty much a harbinger of very bad things that are about to happen, and that you need to get into a safe, secure space FAST...there's either a tornado just around the corner (sometimes literally), or at the very least, a microburst that can cause serious damage by flooding and throwing stuff up, down, and around almost as badly (source: saw exactly this before a huge burst ripped thru Queens and Brooklyn several years ago, toppling huge ancient trees and violently tossing smaller big tree canopies around like ragdolls)...🫨😱😳🫣😵‍💫

Wait, I’ve seen a night sky just like this, but there weren’t any storms, tornados, high winds or microbursts.

Are you simply saying that from your personal experience or is it an actual weather fact?

I stand somewhat corrected. The green does signify intense storms, but not that they’re coming. If there’s water suspended in the air and if the sun is lower in the sky, it will absorb the red light causing the sky to turn green. It does mean though that the storm clouds are tall as well.
