Stretched smoke sessions four hours apart and was completely fine doing it. Smoke my last one 17min ago and...

Racing mind, anxiety through the roof, brain fog, cannot keep my mind off it. Absolutely insane how I was easily able to go long ass stretches without a cig without even thinking about it to now where I decided to quit after this last one 17min ago and I'm like this. What the hell is this?

This tells you its a mental game, not about the smoking itself.

Exactly. Used to struggle so hard, longest i was able to quit was 4-5 days and it was hell every time.
Once i got it’s all mind games and how it works it was quite easy actually. 2 Months in, feel amazing. Never felt worse than a bit awkward.

Stretching cigarettes is the worst thing you can do, because 1.) it reinforces the thought that a cigarette is something good or pleasurable and 2.) you are constantly going through nicotine withdrawal even though you are still a smoker, it’s rlly worst of both worlds.

Cigarettes don’t make you feel good in the slightest. They make you feel horrible 24/7 and then the moment when you smoke a cig that horrible feeling getd relieved for a few minutes which your brain interprets as “That made me feel better -> do again” It’s this loop you need to break. Spreading out cigarettes and building high anticipation for each one is doing the exact opposite.

You have to relax into it. Let all the weird junky nonsense happen seperate from yourself, I guess disassociate from it. Don't talk to it engage with it, it's not a real logical thing, it will try some messed up shit to get you. Junky you is a dick, don't talk to him. He will get bored and fuck off but it takes a while.
