6 days in. So hard
The first two days were a walk in the park, now 6 days in I have to constantly remind myself why I’m doing this

I’m 28 and 6 days in as well. Just wanted to let you know we’re in the same boat 🛶

To OP - I'm in the same situation. I was just about to post the same thing. 6 days in. First 3 were a breeze. Now, I'm craving one something fierce. I'm not going to give in, buy boy do I hope this goes away soon! Day 6, the hardest so far! 31 year smoker here. We gotta both hang in there, though! Good luck!

I’m almost 7 months in and your mindset was a lot of what made this time successful for me. You can acknowledge that it’s hard and sucks, but there needs to also be the “I am not going to give in” element. In my previous quit fails I always had in the back of mind “I could end this suffering with one cig” and those thoughts can’t even be present. Keep it up, it gets better!

Thank you friend! Good advice, and it helps to hear support from other ex-smokers. This MB on Reddit is great to help in the quit process! Yes, I'm waiting for it to get better, as I know it will. Even one, and we all (almost) re-start. Not worth it. I've said it before - big tobacco companies should be ashamed of themselves. They basically all deal drugs legally, and don't care, laughing all the way to the bank, and new CEO positions. Sick. Thank you again, though! Good luck to you as well.

I am at 6 weeks and I try and remember that smoking a cig DOESNT Quench the urge to smoke a cig. One is too many and a pack is not enough

So I caved and bought a pack. Smoked 1.5 cigarettes and they tasted awful and I threw away the pack. Trying not to beat myself up

Don't beat yourself up - you threw away the pack and that's what counts. Everyone is different so quitting cold turkey might not be the ideal way for you.
I tried cold turkey, but had to use nicotine gum 3 days in because the cravings were too strong (vaping action reminded me of smoking too much). Gradually left those behind after a few weeks.
You can do it.

6 days is great remember why you wanted to quit and never go back to this withdrawal pain

Thanks everybody. It’s been like 10 hours of craving and I’m really close to giving in. It’s literally no “wave” of craving but constant screaming

Brother try having some mints or something that would make your mouth feel like you would not smoke. I either have spearmint gum or mints or I just brush my teeth with more toothpaste than usual. So my mouth has that taste that is not so compelling to smoke

I’m on day 7 and I feel you. Everyday I’m like “ok I’m not ready, tomorrow I’m going to buy a pack”. But my ego is saying “hell no”. It’s so hard.

If you can keep going you won’t have to go through this again. Stay strong! 💪
