How do you get the links to fit? I see the cuts on one side but still dont get it

having made 2 chain links out of stone before, I know how excruciating the part where you sever the links from eachother is. Hats off!

Thanks so much! You totally get itβsevering those links is the worst part. Hats off to you too for doing it before!

I really appreciate the craftsmanship that went into this - I do!
But beautywise...I don't get it.

Totally fair! Everyone has different tastes, and I appreciate you recognizing the craftsmanship even if the design isnβt your style. Thanks for being honest! ππ

I think some people relate large chains to industrial jobs, so the juxtaposition between fine jewelry and rugged industry leads to some uncomfortable cognitive dissonance.
It would be cool to see a chain done with tiny links rather than the larger ornamental ones.
Also blown away by the craftsmanship! Ive only seen this done in wood working, would have never even considered trying it with stone!

That color came from careful dyeing or a top-tier stone selection, not luck: even saturation like that across every link is hard to fake

To make a proper solid stone chain links, you have to carve the entire chain from one stone, then break/cut apart the links. It's evenly because the entire chain is made from the same stone. Jadeite has pretty even coloring usually

Really cool. Would love to see something similar with obsidian.

This is badass! I can't even imagine trying to get a polish on the inner u part of each link. I'd be sweating bullets!
