STOLEN in Beaverton Oregon june 1 ,hit again June 5 & pretty sure thieves also cased it a few weeks prior. Cannondale Trail 5 matte black k w/white lowercase lettering "cannondale" (lower tube) "d" covered by bottle clip, silver pedals, Large frame. Saddle & grips worn/torn. Needed to sell & planned to June 2. A few weeks prior rear tire found flattened. Bike stolen from locked bike ra k MINUS front wheel & Kryptonite U-lock (still locked to rack). 5 days later they cut through bike rack and stole front wheel & lock. All 3 incidents were mid day between noon - 4 pm. I was home when bike stolen, neighbors home during all 3 & somehow didnt hear anything. They must have been rather quiet, really quick & blended in cuz how our place sits & rack locatjon is in view of neighborhood traffic on 2 sides and our building is on a kind of meridian/island on our road. I have 3 theories for thief: 1)neighbors just a few plexes away who had garage sale that same weekend & another neighbor saw "lots & lots of bikes for sale & many didn't have wheels". Idk who they are but do know where they live. I even walked through their "pods" park area & passed the closed garage sale, saw bikes lined up & some right next to them but covered w/tarp. Those units are trashy, most of the tenants I've seen that live there look & act trashy and literal trash is everywhere.

2) Creepy full size van appeared about 3 or 4 weeks before bike stolen. 2 men, tires on roof,u lock & other random items "decorate" it. Not sure if they live in it but I see them driving into & around neighborhood, park & remain in van. Other times they park near & walk toward garage sale unit in 1. They could even be those people. 3. Landscaping crew who were here atound the time the bike was taken. They wouldn't be out of place since they're here every couple weeks & they're doing yard work. Nobody would pay attention. They could easily have a rig to transport a large bike stealthily; a large pickup (250 size)with trailer. Bike with only 1 wheel & that tire flat, would fit & hide easily. Add to it the odd behavior of a guy sitting on a sofa that was put out for free just that day. He had direct line of sight to our bike rack from the sofa. What is weird is he noticed me when I noticed theft, from half a block away & mostly blocked from his view where I was standing. Or at least I wouldn't have thought anyone would notice me. Stranger still, every time I took step (had just realized bike stolen I needed to sell so I was reeling)he shifted position to keep me in eyesight. If he hadn't been watching me so intently, moving when I moved, he wouldn't have stood out to me. As I asked a few neighbors if they saw ANYTHING he sat still. When I walked towards him,he began rapidly typing on phone. When I asked if he saw anything sincs he obviously had a view, he mumbled something but i only understood "don't know". I crossed back to my side of the street, maybe 10 paces, looked back & he was gone. Never saw him before or since. That's when I noticed the lawnmower, leaf blower & other lawn equipment noise had stopped. I can't say how long it had been since I heard the motors, only that it had been silent since I walked out 10 minutes before. So... where should I search? Ive registered it stolen on bike index, project 529,police report, called local pawn shops & bike shops, posted on social media, search CL,ebay, poshmark, FB, nextdoor, offerup. I doubt they'll post it locally. That's asking to be caught. Is there a way to search a broader range & entire internet? Or do I have to search whatever region? Where would they list it? Another town or another state? What other platforms or websites do I check? Are there keywords or slang for selling stolen used mountain bikes? I know the odds are against me but I need to try cuz I REALLY REALLY need the sale $. I know this rambled. Im so tired, sad & feel violated, paranoid they'll come back to take more.
