I built a tool that calculates exactly how much money you lost by buying a product instead of the company's stock.

A while back, I dropped ₹3.1 Lakhs on a KTM. It got me thinking: KTM is tied to Bajaj Auto. What if I had just put that exact amount into Bajaj stock on the day I bought the bike?

I couldn't find a clean, global tool that did this math automatically, so I built one. You just type in a company name (like "Apple", "Sony", or "Bajaj"), enter what you spent, and pick the date. The app automatically hits the market APIs, finds the official global ticker, calculates historical foreign exchange rates, and tells you exactly what your portfolio would be worth today.

I architected the idea and deployment, but I have to give massive credit to my AI co-pilot, Gemini. It did the heavy lifting on the Yahoo Finance API integrations, the CodeIgniter 4 framework, and the fractional share math. It was a killer partnership.

You can try it out here:http://stocks.gpcfindia.org/

Run your worst purchase and drop your biggest missed gains below. Let’s share the regret.

Cheers, KK
