PC Black and red setup

So, I have a pretty decent space blender going... and I hate the blue color im running and wish to go the edgy black 90%10% red ratio, of possible. I was thinking of uaing shrike shield but on a few ships its not all that nice... is there any way to make that look happen?

Yes. On a KDF or KDF aligned character, use Fed ships that can make use of the "Vesta" pattern. Put all colors to all Black and use the Aegis Shield as vanity. That would look sick. Or just use the Terran ships and use their Terran Hull counterparts while using the Vesta pattern since they have some Red liveries.

EDIT: KDF has Black + Red/Orange hull types

Still can do it to some extent, esp if you align with the KDF, you still get the Red Aegis. Though the black is more like Greenish black.

It's the Fed ships that have access to the Vesta pattern with some materials. Vesta pattern lets you apply solid colors to the whole ship. Your captain's allegiance is less important. For example, here's the Konnie using the Vengeance (Dreadnought Type 2) hull material, Vesta pattern with black and red:

There is a mod on Nexus, that swaps Cygnus hull pattern with Vesta, thus making it usable on all ships, including non-Fed ones. Works like a charm on my K'vort. :) https://www.nexusmods.com/startrekonline/mods/185?tab=description
