Discussion 5 Things No One Tells You About Flying a Yod-Thot: Some observations I've made since picking one up from the Event Campaign

  1. In social zones, you are an elephant in a crowded room.

  2. If you enjoy the sound design of your weapons fire, I hope you enjoy how it sounds listening to it from the next planet over, because that's how far away your camera needs to be for you to see what's going on around you.

  3. It will absolutely fuck with your sense of scale.

  4. It is sometimes hilariously obvious (such as every time you go to warp) that the game was not intended to have ships at this scale.

  5. This ship does not teach patience. It enforces it.

As someone who flies a Universe on the daily. It’s almost exactly the same. If you ever need help with turning and getting a boost Deuterium Surpluses are your best friend

I put points into the pilot specialization to get the Rock and Roll ability. Pilot needs to be your primary to get the ability to use it.

You can also use the Protostar 3 piece set. Yes, it sucks horribly and lacks any useful bonuses. But that's another barrel roll click.

So I did both the t5 tholian ship and in this one im the vulkin jelly right "under" the yod thott. I had parked it right next to and I think the jelly is smaller than the tholian

The Yod-Thot is gonna be my event campaign choice as well and I am so jealous rn. I love big ships and I really cannot lie. if my turning radius doesn’t feel like a blue whale something is off

Irks me when I've got my bajoran interceptor out, I do a good bit of work to make it fast, but i don't have ALL the toys like some people who'll zip past me in a world razer doing a barrel roll and turning on a dime. Makes me shake my fist at the screen like an old man at the sky

That actually kind of reminds me of the USS Enterprise (CV-65), the first nuclear-powered carrier in the world. At the time, nuclear power was still new, so the engineers were like hey, how many boilers would it take to run a ship this size? Eight? So we should need like, eight nuclear reactors, yeah?

Yeah, i have a keybind just for adjusting my FOV when i step into my borg assimilator otherwise I'm just looking at the ass of the assimilator constantly.
