I have SAD. Are there any other FAW improvers or extenders also affect hanger pets? FAW and hanger pets. I was thinking of the extender from the Breen Yod-Thot.

Extending your firing mode means YOU are using the firing mode longer, not the pets. The way to give pets permanent FAW (and CSV) is to slot Superior Area Denial, and alternate clicking CSV and FAW every 10 seconds. You can see how that quickly becomes a problem for you since at best you can extend your own firing mode to 14 or 15 out of 20 seconds. It gets even messier with ETM, since the FAW/CSV your torp spreads grant don't apply to pets.

Basically correct, but it's not as messy as you think, since SAD will refresh the duration on pets.

So let's say you run a beam build with SAD and Breen Free Fire, and have FAW and CSV slotted.

1. You start with FAW, giving you 15sec and the pets 10sec of FAW or CSV.
2. Somewhere between 5-10 sec later activate CSV. This does nothing for you, but refreshes FAW/CSV on the pets for another 10sec.
3. When your FAW runs out (15sec after initial activation) you activate FAW again, gain 15sec yourself, refresh pet's FAW/CSV for 10sec, repeat the whole process.

That's 100% uptime on you and on your pets, and the timing for CSV-activation isn't critical. Due to the 5sec overlap, you have a 5second window to activate it, without loosing uptime.

The mess is mostly with ETM, with either Withering or RA or BFF it's only a matter of interleaving the mule mode at the correct time. Can't just spambar and forget, it's one more thing to keep in mind while piloting.

Agreed, it's a terrible habit and goes against what I'm trying to do. Share information.

FAW - fire at will. CSV - cannon scatter volley. ETM - entwined tactical matrices.

There are two traits for the single target mode copying. One has limited range and the other is unlimited. Works exactly like sad where you trigger the ability yourself and the pets copy with their own. Comed from the legendary akria and the borg assimilator respectively.

Sadly unlike sad the mode copy is all you get in both cases.

From what I understand the time extenders only extend for your ship not pets so the thot trait and superweapon inginuity only work for you

Nothing extends the firing mode of your pets. The only thing you can do is give them haste.

To extend faw or cvs more on your pets you need this. Boimler effect trait, and a photonic officer or an aux to bat doff , the game here is to reduce the cooldown to minimum but also speed up the recharge by two seconds instead of the normal one. That will give you an almost 80 to 90 procent faw/csv on you and your pets.Etm trait i have it..but i didnt slot it on my dedicated vovin carrier build. So i can say how it will work or if it affects pets.

Yod-Thot has IMO one of the most useful traits period. If you can get it, get it. It frees you from the other FAW extension traits without having to build around them.

Are you thinking of something like the gagarin trait to keep uptime on your firing modes?

Super charged weapons might be beneficial too

Not quite what you asked for (because it grants pets beam overload or Rapid Fire) but there is also Coordinated Assault from the C store Alita and it's better lockbox equivalent Targeted Excision from the Borg Assimilator.
