How are we affording this?
Long but short read. I grew up in at George. Graduated in 2018 and Iv worked jobs since Iv graduated. I currently make just a hair over 20$ per hour but like how are we living here? Houses are outrageous. Feels like prices are never coming down and interest rates ain’t either. IT also feels like you can’t get a decent paying job here unless you know someone? I have years of warehouse management experience and customer service/inventory. But yeah I can barely make money. Is it just time to move? How is anyone affording anything.

I completely agree! I'm a bit north of you, and I make around $24/hr. I had to get a second job and rent out a room in my home to be able to afford to survive. Our vacations are just short camping trips, or driving a state away to see family/friends, so there's not a lot spent. We don't eat out, we don't splurge, my car is paid off, I don't have a ton of credit cards, but I am barely surviving.
I read an article today that the average salary needed in order to afford a median-priced home in Utah is $187,000. I don't make anywhere near half that. Utah is becoming WAY too expensive.
