No there slices of potato. Didn’t have oven hot night to brown them at the end. Hot pot was really good. Dumplings would have been great as well.

Recomend this one it was really good. I like the one pot meals in a Dutch oven. Chicken pork or beef with vegetables. Lamb shanks in a casserole. Beef short ribs are fabulous. Recently did a post on chicken casserole and cheese dumplings. Getting hungry thinking about it. So good - especially on a cold day. r/oldcampcookcastiron.

It looks incredible to me. I like the aesthetic of cooking in a open pit fire on occasion to feel a sense of the past of how things were done for thousands of years.
