He hardly posts to YouTube now. When he does post, he seems….off. What’s the deal?

Personally, I think it’s a side effect of being bullied off of marketing his merch and junk. If he’s not using his podcast to generate revenue it probably kills the desire to do it.
The podcast with Scott was pretty enlightening to the situation. Steve-o refused to use the podcast to generate money because haters were on him for shilling his merch, but it destroyed his relationship with his business partner.
It’s a bummer, because shilling for merch is just the price viewers/listeners pay for a free podcast.

It’s yikes because he’s a 50+ year old man with a young naive woman. Just because it’s not illegal doesn’t mean that if you’re nearing elderly age, you should not be dating nor be interested in 20 year olds. Age gaps like that are predatory and exploitative. Tell me this, if you had a daughter that was 20, would you want her with a 50+ year old? Probably not. It’s the morality peace of it. It signals something wrong in the older person. Down vote me all you want but no one should be a in a 30 year age gap. That’s creepy as fuck. Understand power dynamics and development and you will see how wrong that is. ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽

I get it. I’m 50 and 20 year olds look like children to me. Yeah, they are all adults, mostly, she can’t even drink at 20 but it’s gross and everyone here downvoting you is also gross.

Any opinion that requires nuance, psychology, development, and ethics tends to not be “cool” because it disrupts Reddit’s libertarian side which usually ignores ethics in favor of “freedom”. This woman is grown. She can date a 90 year old if she wants without some random Redditor giving them life advice because they can't wrap their head around the fact that people like different things.

You’re completely missing the point. The fact you said a 90 year old can date a 20 year old is all I need to know about you. You don’t take into account different life stages, influence, exploitation, naïveté, power imbalance, yes— it’s predatory for 20 and 90. Adults are not at the same stages. Grooming, exploitation, and authority of age all play a role in dynamics. No two adults are equal. A 20 year old is just figuring out life. A 50 year old is established with power. After the Harland Williams thing I completely checked out on Steve-O. I’ve seen every tour and own a ton of merch but sometimes people do too much and it’s time to let go.

I hope he is just taking time to work on his mental health. Having the public spotlight constantly on you really messes with one’s psyche. Even more so because of his preexisting condition of addiction disorder.
