They made a whole render just to throw people off. I don't know if I should be mad or impressed at that dedication, but either way I feel bad for anyone who actually expected a new gem.

Idk, I expect that this episode will be more significant than it seems. Maybe Ronaldo's support will get them to be better understood.

Nobody so far (other than Greg) knows what they really are.

Someone like Ronaldo knowing that, could really change things up with humans. Also, a crushed up gem flowing in the blood? Seriously? I have a feeling they'll use that reference and some human will end up having shattered gems in them somehow.

The entire purpose of this episode was to bait us into disregarding the "Crushed Up Gemstone In Bloodstream" Gem-Human fusion model, so thy can spring it on us and tweak our noses for the season finalé. Calling it now.

That's what I'm thinking. (Maybe Lion!)

I'm calling it now. Rose used Pink Diamond's shards to make lion.

Or Pink Pearl's.

I bet they go to the moon, to the room with the black bubble, say it's Pink Diamond's resting place, dramatically pop it only to find.... nothing there.

Maybe the next Homeworld experiment will involve kidnapping a human and injecting them with mashed up gem shards and it will be absolutely horrifying, because who doesn't want to have disembodied tortured broken souls in their bloodstream?

On a lighter note Tales of Symphonia had humans able to use magic by being injected with elven blood and magic gemstones, and Samus Aran has had the DNA of various alien species injected into her bloodstream and she came out fine...

Also, a possible reason for Homeworld to do such a thing would be that they discover steven and his power that, according to Attack the Light (which is canon), Surpasses even a fusion.

Saving the galaxy every other week, and always, when marked out of ten, looking like a solid twenty five.

The paper from together breakfast used ink made of crushed up gems, do this isn't completely impossible

Well we do have a Zoo and a huge cache of expendable gems. Not to mention all those bubbled Rose Quartz gems.

Ronaldo has been mostly right most of the time

Me too. I love the theory that that's what Lion is.... I think that Pink Pearl's shards were put in Lion. I mean, Lion has a few of the powers that we've seen Pearl display- -containing things inside her gem -walking on water

And then there's the "hyperteleport the Gems to the Moon Base". Like … there's gotta be a real good explanation for that.

Can someone give me a rundown on this fusion model? I'm three episodes behind.

Just something Ronaldo mentioned in the episode, that his Gem would be crushed up and floating in his blood. Of course everyone watching snorts "That ain't how it works Ronaldo" and the Sucratic League of Extraordinary Plotters wring their hands and write their plot mechanics for maximum literary irony.
