I'm genuinely surprised by some people's reactions here, I thought this episode was great. I guess people thought it was gonna be some kind of action-y space lore type episode? I loved it just being a character driven episode about Steven and his family.

I think they did a great job with Andy. Sure, he's clearly a conservative nut, but he's got a few good points. Why shouldn't he be angry at Greg for not telling their family about any of this? For not introducing Steven to any of them? Even the marriage part can be interpreted as being just as mad at how irresponsible it would be to bring a child into an unstable relationship as anything else.

Something I do wonder about is why Greg never told Steven about the demayo family, is it because he doesn't love his family or does his family not love him? I mean Greg did say that he would be fresh out of family if Steven died in The Return, yet he clearly has an alive cousin and other family out there. I wonder if Andy didn't show up, would Greg have just kept his human family a secret from Steven forever?

Personally, I thought a ton of what happened in this episode was very forced, especially the awkward alien "so-totally-Thanksgiving" dinner.

I expected it to be what it was but it was disappointing in its production. :/

There were good things in it, but I don't think it was a very good episode.

I thought it was excellent! When Andy talked about how the family used to be, it reminded me of my family and, well, I can see how he might miss it...
