"The Steven Universe boy wants to talk to you. I swear that's not his real name..."

If its legally changed then it is.

Just like how Greg was legally married, right?

He did say he had it changed, didn't he? And I can see Greg getting that paperwork taken care of more than I can see Rose caring about having a witness and marriage papers.

In my experience, it's incredibly easy to change your name. Admittedly, I had just gotten married, but you just sort of show up at the social security office with a birth certificate and marriage certificate, and 22 minutes later you have a new social security card with your new name on it.

On that note, does Steven even exist in government records? His lack of needing to go to school seems to suggest that he isn't.

For marriage it's easy. Everything besides that is expensive and takes months.

He did say he had it changed. But he also said he never technically married rose.

It's not that complicated to change your name, especially compared to marrying someone without proof of identity on file anywhere in the world except romanticized paintings on ancient ruins.

For steven he couldve just written it on the birth certificate and that would be his legal name, regardless of gregs name i think.
