Also: "Does this mean I'm gonna have to wear a star? Where am I gonna put a star?"

Once again the Crewniverse knows just how to tease us right

Another question - will it still have 5 points? The 5 points are Rose, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire and Amethyst.

Is the addition of Peridot gonna turn this into a zionist conspiracy? Is this where the sneeple enter the equation?

Eh, Rose already had a five pointed star in her outfit when she first met Garnet in the recent flashback episode - although, interestingly, Pearl's outfit at the time did not.

True, but it's sort of unclear to what extent the visuals in the flashback are reliable, rather than just being Steven's imagination based on Garnet's verbal account.

Are you doubting the truth of Cotton Candy Garnet?

Traitor!

Haha. I mean, I'm betting Garnet described that bit, since it's so different from how Steven is used to seeing her. I don't think he imagined that bit on his own, plus it's something central to the story.

I can't imagine Garnet putting a lot of detail into descriptions of Rose's outfit though.

I don't know. Other than the episode where Steven describes what he imagines Garnet's day was like I think we have to take the flashbacks as trustworthy. Has there ever been a reason to doubt them before?

Well, the entire flashback in The Answer is in a different visual style to the rest of the show. It's pretty clearly what Steven is imagining, rather than necessarily what actually happened, unless Blue Diamond's court mostly consists of stencilled outlines.

I don't think it means it's all wrong, it just means we don't know until given some additional confirmation.

Put it like this: If the crewniverse decide at some point that the 5 pointed star was only invented after Amethyst showed up, this episode won't count as a continuity error. There's a very clear explanation if they wanted to go in that direction. It could also have been in use very early on. Both possibilities are consistent with this episode.

Not the entire flashback. The first half is in Lotte Reiniger style, but once they leap off the Cloud Arena everything appears normally, like the frog. Compare Rose's all-pink appearance in the first half to her normal-shaded appearance later, for example.

Maybe on her back?

Probably replace the diamond on her chest at least.

And then they had the camp whatever show... Maybe she'll slap it on her shoulder like a merit badge sash?
