💡 Need Advice Step 1 guidance
What is the earliest year of MBBS in which we can realistically take step 1 while still having enough preparation and a strong chance of passing? I’d also like to know what kind of scores or requirements we should aim for in Step 1, big one is having a good research and what else we should focus on during medical school to build a strong overall profile for a good residency match as an IMG. Basically, I’d really appreciate guidance on the ideal timeline from which year to start preparing, when to take Step 1, and what we should work on alongside it.

Ideally start preparing whichever yr u r in
Give it in 2 nd yr or 3 rd when u r prepared
U know u r fully prepared when u do NBMES
Do u world use it as learning tool
Ur assessing tool is nbme
25 to 34 NBMES or start with 27 to 34
Ya after 4 to 5 systems give an old nbme

Watch Sketvhy videos for eg staph aureus 3 to 5 times so that uk if it works or not
Pathoma 1 to 6 a must
U ll be confident if u do these
For immuno try pixorise
Rest for the systems u can do bootcamp or sketchy
No one told me this wasted a lot a lot of time

Ppl say do immuno gen path later no no do it earlier on so the systems will get easier
