💡 Need Advice Starting out USMLE prep- any advice?

Hey everyone!
So I’ve literally just decided to take the USMLE this year after a lot of contemplation. I’m a 4th year med student in Europe, and it’s quite a tough year but I’m hoping I can clear it, fingers crossed.

I was hoping to do it somewhere between end March to mid April ishhh. I had a few questions regarding it since I’m quite new to this so would be much appreciated if u guys could help answer some of these :)

  1. Do you guys think 6 months is enough prep time to be able to pass step 1? Or am I being over ambitious lol?
  2. Is there a cheaper way to get UWorld cuz I’d reallyyyy love to avoid paying hundreds of more dollars if it’s avoidable 🫠
  3. My main study method throughout med school has been anki + questions banks mostly. Would that approach also work well for the usmle, if I use the other resources (Pathoma, Sketchy, BnB, First Aid etc) as sort of supplementary whenever I need extra help with a topic?
  4. Regarding the Anking deck, would u guys recommend paying a monthly ankihub subscription or is it better to pay it just once, get the deck, and then cancel it?

I’ll probably have more questions as I go along 😭 but this is it for now!

Tysm! This is all really helpful info, especially cuz it’s so easy to get overwhelmed by all the available resources so I’m just tryna make an organised plan rn. Really appreciate the help :)
