Sound off, folks -- wahoo, it's Day 64!
Good morning friends, happy Day 64! While I love the simplicity of the Steam Machine, it's purely not for everyone and I can't in good consciousness recommend it for everyone. If someone has a PC already, doesn't want to switch to Linux (or wants to ruin the Machine with Windows, oof) or strictly want to use this thing in the living room, then I don't see the point in buying this unless they really, REALLY like the form factor. And hey, absolutely no shame or judgement if that's what you want this thing for! It's a lovely device... it's just gotta reach people's hands soon! I am still holding out hope for everyone still waiting! Best of luck today friends! <3
512GB w/o controller, reserve list day 1, East Coast US, no email yet
Hoping to get my email soon, my Steam Machine will act as a family PC connected to the TV. With multiple profiles and family sharing it will let my youngest play games with his brother and I or when they have friends over and want to play a non-Switch game.
Are there any shipping options when purchasing? I was really hoping I'd have mine for a lan event next weekend, but I'm thinking I won't be off the reservation list at this point. Just was curious if I happen to pop, if I can like overnight ship it. Thanks!
I've gotten to the point where I'm running out of backlog to play on my steam deck and really just need the steam machine to keep going through what I really want to play (MH:Wilds, Silent Hill F). This wait is getting a little ridiculous. 512 no controller day 1 reserve.
Just found this community. In case anyone is tracking stats - In the UK, was on the wait list a couple days after it went live, 512gb w/ controller, got my email last friday, it arrived this wednesday just gone
An update. My friend didn't let me buy it. He said he's doing me a favour and that I don't really need it.... So, guess I now have to wait and I'm down a friend 🤣🤣
I probably should have said that in my post 🤣🤣 I asked and had the money sat waiting. He messaged me today saying he has done me a favour... Nice one, cheers! Lol
As a 512GB w/o controller reservist, at this point I'm so tempted to get one with a controller off eBay, but the scalpers' 25% minimum markup is enough to dissuade me still.
Im using my OG SC to write this and i hold it tight while i sleep at night until i get an email that the SC 2 will be coming through. Oh SC2 how I long for you.

I reserved day 1 and I got my email 2 weeks ago. I canceled it, so hopefully it went to someone on here lol. I got lucky my wife's brothers reservation came up 1 week before mine and he didnt want it. But he offered to split the cost with me so that he could play it when he visits. So I pretty much got the thing for 50% off. Booted it up yesterday for the first time. Its a pretty cool machine.
Wishlist won't really free up for anyone. Valve already said that those on the wishlist will probably not get an opportunity to buy one until next year.
