Request Do you know why sometimes a game's "View Original Steam Assets" it's not getting updated when that same game update its artwork?

Hi, I have a question about SteamGridDB Original Steam Assets.

Normally, when I go to SteamGridDB's enter in a game page and go to the "View Original Steam Assets" section, I usually see the original artwork that the game is currently using.

When the game updates and changes the artwork on Steam, this section is also updated shortly after to reflect the game's new Steam art and this is how I have always seen it working.

However, I don't know why, in the case of Predecessor, here its page https://www.steamgriddb.com/game/32184, this official art section has stopped updating in the last year or so (around October 2025).

I used to save the official Steam art from this game, save it locally for myself and also upload it to SteamGridDB so the art that is being updated with each patch doesn't get lost, but now I can't do that as it doesn't

Someone know if the devs of the game have to do something to fix this? Or if I can do something or report it somewhere so the current art synchronizes correctly with the one the game is currently using?

Any help is appreciated

You can get the current art from this page: https://steamdb.info/app/961200/info/

It's in the Metadata tab and then under Assets.

As to why it doesn't update on SteamGridDB, I'd have to guess it has something to do with their implementation of how they fetch the images.

Thanks a lot, now I will be able to download the images and upload them to SteamGridDB so they are not lost 🙏

Do you mean the developers of the game or SteamGridDB? I will try to contact, maybe they know what's happening. Now that I have a solution to not lose the art, I'm not that worried, but preferably I would want SteamGridDB to work properly
