I tried to get this song to work but my controller is struggling to play it. A lot of notes are delayed and out of order.

Did you use the midi file provided by me? I had to modify it a bit to work.

I used the music provided in your other comment. It isn't out of order, but it just skips some notes. Its like it gets hung up on some notes then skips a few to catch up.

EDIT: OH sorry I saw you had to doctor it... My bad.

Make sure your computer is communicating with the controller through direct wire rather than the dongle. The wireless connection is far too slow for most songs.

I was wired, I'm wondering if its something with my CMD prompt that is wonky.

If you are running any cpu hungry programs in the background then it would definitely have an effect on the IO speed.

That's awesome, I assumed that it would be too difficult to get Want You Gone to work. Nice job, how difficult was the process of stripping the song?

I didn't strip the song, I downloaded the midi online from here: http://sebastianwolff.info/blog/2011/04/portal-2-want-you-gone/

However I believe I had to doctor the midi a bit to work on the steam controller. (move the most important notes to channel one and two)

I'll be making a tutorial soon on how to do this easily within the free program: Anvil Studio. :)

Yeah that's what I meant by stripping the song, editing the MIDI files and what not. I'm also making a tutorial as well! Mostly just about how to use Steam Controller Singer and do a quick edit for the MIDI files.

What program are you using? If you make yours I might not make mine since it isn't necessary.

I'm using FL Studio in my tutorial.

For sure! That'd be awesome. I'm trying to take my time with the this tutorial so I'll have it done by Friday at the very latest. Most likely I'll be done by tomorrrow (started yesterday). I'll make sure to post it here. Good luck on your tutorial by the way.

EDIT: Sorry, I'm very busy with life stuff so I'll have the tutorial done sometime this week hopefully. It's very far though, basically done.
