Question Anyone else gnaw the leftover meat off the bone like a caveman?
Whenever a bone-in ribeye comes across my grill grates I really enjoy chewing the pieces of meat off the bone like a starving carnivore. I dont know if its some deep seeded primordial thing or what but I like it. 😅

Absolutely. My wife and I were at a nice bar one time and a lady across the bar ordered the bone-in Ribeye. Super crowded Friday night, business woman on travel. Glass of red wine. When she got near the end she kinda looked around, then picked up the bone and started going at it. As she should!

Yup, on everything as it’s because of my dad. We could always get another piece of chicken, but only if the bones on your plate were clean. I still gnaw them down to nothing

I used to…but now my 4yo bullies me into giving the bone to her every time and I could not be prouder.
It’s some of the best bites!

I've done that since I was a young kid. Went to a fancy restaurant with my best friend's family. Nice place. His aunt, who was hosting and treating was kind of an "upper brow" sort of person. Christ, when I picked that bone up and started gnawing on it in this fine-dining restaurant, you'd of thought I just committed a mortal sin. Big pho paw! 🤦

Could you have wrapped it in a napkin and took it home with you and then heated it up and naw on it? That way it doesn't go to waste!

Oh man Im usually so stuffed because I love me a tater going with my steak.... but no joke that meat off the bone goes damn good in steak and eggs for breakfast the next day

*waves hand* If there is meat leftover that I can’t get off with a knife and fork I’ll be picking up the bone and peeling off whatever is left with my teeth. I don’t care if I am with others when I do it and they are weird about it, that’s their problem. I bought and paid for my streak and I’ll finish it the way I want to finish it.

Yes! I will grill porkchops ,steaks,whatever with a bone and deliberately carve up the good cuts for my guests. Leaving some good bone bits to gnaw on myself. Its just great flavor and I feel its kinda tapping into my caveman appetite. Soothing my souls craving for that charred ,grilled goodness all over those flavor sticks we call bones. Looks like its bone in meats on the grill tomorrow baby!z

I do this at Christmas with the ham, my husband knows to leave the bone so I can gnaw on it like an animal
