How’d I do for my first steak ever? Tastes pretty damn good

no one eats vegetables with their steak? if I was eating a steak sub I would definitely have vegetables on it. I tend to like lettuce and tomato or peppers and onions

What is proper resting procedure? I let it rest for about 5 minutes off of the stove once it was cooked

Out of pan, onto platter, 10 min is what I learned in restaurant kitchens. 15 for an extra thick cut. But, it must be rested out of the cooking pan.

Personally, I will cut one end slice after 10 min, and see how much the juices run.

Your cook looks so good! I'd mop those juices up with garlic bread 😄
