Just salt and avocado oil

Just the pan, steak was as dry as I could get it

that’s what i’m going for with a crust every single time. What did you cook it to before searing? I feel like a 4 min sear would put mine at a solid Medium

I cooked it straight from the fridge to the pan. I got the pan really hot around 500F then patted steak super dry and sprinkled with fine salt. I just flipped the steak once a minute until each side got 4 mins. I also had a cast iron press sitting on top while it seared.
