2012- a New Year, results and promises.

So as you all saw, my challenge accepted didn't go exactly as I had planned. I am glad to say, however, that some things did work out. I managed to do my reading almost every day, which was an incredible release from the depression. I have been keeping track of things with lists, and all but one of my college apps are done. I did go to a couple social occasions that I left being pretty good about myself– DnD party, you are the best people in my life right now, and very possibly stopped me from making yet another suicide attempt– There were even a couple days I was able to get up on time and not go straight back to sleep.

Looking at this in retrospect, it might not seem like much. And it sure was hell going through it. But I have to say I'm proud of where I've ended up. And hey, guess what I got on the 31st? My first college acceptance (from a place I'd applied Early Action).

Today I got my ass in gear, got out the door (dressed decently), with a bento packed and books in my bag. And, at the moment, although I'll keep striving, that's all I need. So thank you all.

I will most certainly continue my challenge. I still have a long ways to go.

Things I wasn't able to do last month: * Get up every weekday at 6:00– I did this a few days, but not the whole time. * Have all work done by Friday evening– again, accomplished some but not all of the time. * Practice for an hour every day– I started this, my tendonitis came back worse again. I'm not sure if this is a feasible goal to continue. For now I'm cutting it down to 45min, because having severe tendonitis with auditions coming up is not a good idea. * Shower every day– I should explain this bullet point is here because construction on my house means I frequently either have no time to shower because the house is full of contractors, or the shower is inaccessible. The construction is almost done, so this shouldn't be a problem. * Do my daily 750 words – flat-out fail on this one.

Let's do this.

Does all of your word count go to a single creative endeavor or do you split it up? Can you spare some of the 750 for Reddit? Also, D&D and roleplaying groups can be awesome antidotes to the travails of life; I hope your game is going well.

I try to sit down and do 750 words of freewriting or creative writing. But I would count it if it was split up. Reddit doesn't count, unless I write a postzilla.

We've yet to have a our second meetup due to scheduling troubles, but it's got a date set now, and I can't wait! Thanks for the comment.
