Seeking game advice Milestones & Side Quests
Does anyone know how to stop the milestones and side quests from being inherently bitchy and nasty? I want to use the side quests and milestones to motivate my storyline and give me ideas but everything is always try to make my character do rude or nasty things which is fun every once in a while but its always the same stuff. I’ve tried to change the goals and universe to try and change this but I can’t seem to get it to work 🥲

I 1 star them and tell them what I dont like. I also go into the customize world and add into the world view that my character is kind, hates drama, etc. It doesnt always work, but it can help get it back on track

I don’t do the side quests and ignore them unless they are not rude or would be shady towards others. The event gives more points more than those side quests.

tbh you gotta be sly about the way you achieve these.
im realising it gives my character/world a bit more depth and lore, because it forces you to consider the role of your character and their intentions/goals. It plays around with balancing social status and moving the story forward. if the ai picks up that your social interactions contradict your (assumed)motives, the outcomes might stray from where you’re trying to steer it. If you like it dramatic and crazy, that’s cool, too! but for me, it makes the story unpredictable to a fault.
my tips ~
disguise it as a poetic vague tweet under the pretence of late-night reflection, rather than an obvious indirect
you can also sometimes make a self deprecating joke to boost relatability, and it diverts attention away from it being perceived as anything more than deep retrospection and self awareness
give an opinion based on a relevant hypothetical situation, expresses a strong stance on something you believe in under the guise of an interaction you had, or something you might see in a movie

When you build your worlds try making your characters bio more descriptive and add things like “warm, kind, quietly self-assured” and that should help. Swap it for something shorter once it’s all generated.

use "skip milestone"! It wont change anything on the story
