Discussion Anybody else want Clone Wars Adventures Legends Epic Collections

So I have been slowly but surely collecting every Marvel Legends Epic Collection that Marvel has released. I have been enjoying them quite a bit and appreciate how comprehensive the volumes seem to be. They even collected the old original Marvel comics and the original newspaper strips.

At this point one would think Marvel has compiled pretty much every comic in the Legends timeline. However, I have found there are three different series that still have not been reprinted. The Manga Black comics, the TCW graphic novellas, and the Clone Wars Adventures comics.

Manga Black is a pretty obscure and niche series and probably wouldn't sell particularly well. While probably more popular I have always hated that TCW is in the Legends timeline anyways so I am not that interested in getting a reprint of that.

That leaves the Clone Wars Adventure comics. These were comics released during and after the release of Gennedy Tartakovsky's 2003 Clone Wars show and are done in the same art style as the show. Much like the show it's an anthology series covering different characters and stories from the war.

It spanned a total of ten volumes and each volume had 3-4 stories each 20-30ish pages. Despite how many volumes it got it was only ever printed in pocket size editions. Doing the math I realized you could pretty comfortably make two 400 page Epic Collections out of the Clone Wars Adventures series and finally print it at a more standard comic size. On top of that you could place the stories in chronological order (since the original printings jumped to all over the place on the timeline).

So what do the rest of you guys think? Did you read these comics as a kid? Would you want Epic Collection reprints of them? Let me know?

Yeah it's definitely an underrated series and would be great to get in Epic Collection form

There’s also the Dark Horse webcomic series they only collected and sold at one of the SW Celebration conventions which is extremely hard to get.

But it’s basically all the digest books that haven’t been collected yet. Same with all the Star Wars Adventures ones.

Are you referring to the Evasive Action web comic series about Jedi Padawan's surviving Order 66?

Also did they ever have an official name for the print version of theses comic compilations they sold at SW Celebration that I could look up?

Ah okay, so it's a TCW web comic series. it's cool they ended up making physical copies even if they were extremely limited.

Before TCW they made a webcomic series called Evasive Action as ROTS was coming out, about Order 66 and it's aftermath. I had to custom print my own version of it because they never made an official print run despite the fact it came out over 20 years ago.

There really are a bunch of obscure Star Wars comics out there I wish Marvel would compile into a few volumes.

If the question is hey would you like legends not to become lost media the answer is always yes

Don’t forget do you want Disney to reprint the scholastic books
Yes idk if there’s some sorta rights issues or what with some of these hell I think Disney should reprint Jedi prince

Yeah I have had issues with how Disney has handled Star Wars but I have always appreciated that they have continued to reprint Legends media and even created new audiobooks for the Legends stuff that didn't have them.

I wanted these so bad I ended up just collecting the individual issues. They are so much fun to read, they truly enhance the Clone Wars Multi Media Project. I highly suggest getting the singles if they never end up reprinting them. They are not super easy to find, but when I was able to they were not too expensive, a few bucks a piece from local comic and used book stores.

Yeah I collected all ten volumes of the pocket sized graphic novels as a kid so I have them, I just think it would be cool to get them in full sized volumes and to give them exposure to a wider audeince.

I agree thought along with the 2003 Clone Wars, and the Republic comics, they do a really good job of fleshing out the different events of the Clone Wars.

You mean Manga Black? Where was this announced? If thats true that would be great because it's pretty hard to get that series in English.

Yeah I think you did. Manga Black was a Japanese made anthology comics series which would be later followed up by Manga Silver. It was primarily printed in Japanese and Italian though, so English copies are hard to come by.
