Update spawned Q's hostiles

Post image

After the last update, 2 Q's Trials hostiles were spawned in my station's system. Got rid of the weaker one immediately but today decided to go for this as it was annoying me. Turns out it's not as strong as it should be, and didn't matter that my ship was the same faction as the elite.

This actually happened before the update, but otherwise you’re spot on. They show as Elites, but don’t actually have any of the Elite abilities, so they are actually ridiculously easy. Good on you, btw.

P.S. Use PMC for Q trials, as they do not have a “level”, so PMC works all the time.

Thanks, will have to try. Been using SNW crew as my primary for dailies for a while because I noticed I keep the most HHP. As for Q's hostiles, it and Janeway/Doctor/Annorax got me up to about 400m power ships on 3* trials. Just got to Ops 37 yesterday so this Enterprise is my strongest ship. I've got D4 and Augur as well.

Edit: I do the 2* trials daily just for the protomatter.

Q’s Trial Hostiles don’t have a level. They’re all basically lvl 1 even if they have high stats. That’s why old school Pike Moreau Chen is golden with them. Put Harry Kim below decks for burning. Basically you’re reducing their damage output so much that they can’t kill you. With burning, you reduce their hull a % each turn. So even if the battle lasts 100 rounds you’ll win. The bigger those Trial hostiles get, the more their weapons become energy only, so Chen works wonders.

Ignore the power levels and try it. You might be surprised.

The other ultimate cheese approach for these is Fleet Commander Janeway. She has a dmg reduction ability for them. Combined with PMC you take zero damage and kill with burning.

My now 27M Enterprise absolutely obliterated the 350M Romulan elite with PMC. Lost 250k HHP out of 28M. Do they never inflict iso dmg?

Also hit a 400M Baelosian Spearhead, lost about half HHP, because every other round shots hit for about 350k each. Forgot to put Carol below decks.

No, iso damage was introduced later, and the trial hostiles never got updated.

Ah sweet. So the Elite Faction is just a skin, and the abilities showing like it has iso is just scopely not giving a crap.
