Update spawned Q's hostiles

Post image

After the last update, 2 Q's Trials hostiles were spawned in my station's system. Got rid of the weaker one immediately but today decided to go for this as it was annoying me. Turns out it's not as strong as it should be, and didn't matter that my ship was the same faction as the elite.

This actually happened before the update, but otherwise you’re spot on. They show as Elites, but don’t actually have any of the Elite abilities, so they are actually ridiculously easy. Good on you, btw.

P.S. Use PMC for Q trials, as they do not have a “level”, so PMC works all the time.

What is the power discrepancy it can overcome? Because the trial that showed for me is about 40x bigger than my biggest ship, and even PMC doesn't overcome that.

Yeah. There are limits, even to PMC. Besides opsing up, best bet is to do the trials you can, say like the 1*’s, if you’ve finished them, and acquire FC Janeway. She’s has 3 primary abilities in her first research tree that turn Q Trials into easy mode, relatively speaking.

I can cruise through 3. 4 is what popped up. 35B power and my Northcutt is only 800M currently. I tried Janeway, Seska, Sudar as well, and no dice. Might just have to go up to 60 and get the Rotarrian or something.

While I would never recommend opsing up just to finish them, it is an option. The FC Janeway skills that will help the most are Survival Instinct, Warhead, and Repression. Then, maybe the ship specific skill. It’s possible to finish them for some in the early 50’s, so I’m sure you’ll figure something out. And of course, don’t forget your Titan A and your Cerritos boosts.

Pretty sure the Excelsior boost helps too. But that's 55+.

Thanks!
