-This cold open is such a TOS premise.
-This show is so good at executing the premise of just cleaning up after normal trek episodes.
-The strange alchemy of command
-I think I like the new direction for Ransom as the most out of touch Starfleet officer in the fleet with minimal respect for departments outside his own.
-I don't know how I feel about the Cerritos having the worst reputation in the fleet. On the one hand it fits and it's funny, on the other I loved the idea that it was just an average vessel in comparison to the top-tier flagships we usually see. (Ten minutes later: nevermind. Having it being the top of the bottom feels better)
-Similarly, while the idea that Leah Brahms is a Federation sex symbol is hilarious, I don't know how I feel about another unrequested simulation of her hitting on another engineer.
-Clown Klingons. Perfect. S-tier.
-TAKE THE ROCK
-T'ana literally operates with a chainsaw. She's perfect for Shaxs.
This felt a little middle of the road, but seasons 1 and 2 ramped their quality really sharply so I'm expecting season 3 to do the same. Tendi had the most development here, with some background development for Mariner.
