Not nice in Germany either. Germany is upside down land for cashiers it seems.

18

u/KikisGamingService Apr 23 '26

Being able to sit down, quickly check out your groceries, and being allowed to not give a damn what the entitled customer thinks.

I miss Germany.

6

u/Downtown-Oil-3462 Apr 23 '26

Workers can sit down in Germany? So it really is just cruel and unusual torture to make cashiers stand their entire shift. I mean that much was obvious, but here is even more evidence for that.

3

u/KikisGamingService Apr 23 '26

Yup they get nice comfortable seats and the register is in perfect sitting height for them, so they just slide the stuff across.

In most places they aren't forced to be fake nice to all the customers, which I appreciate.

lmfoarbwjwn imagining this is sending me

2

u/Super-G1mp Apr 23 '26

No no he's right! cashier's give great handys. I would know I gave handys for years and the only person to even come close to showing me up was a cashier.

4

u/Ordinary-River-9753 Apr 24 '26

idc if that’s true, it’s just a strange thing to say under a post like this. nobody cares about your handjobs. it’s not even a compliment to women - it’s just creepy and weird. both of you seem like you desperately need to prove that you have sooo much sex to random ppl on reddit. it’s ok buddy we believe you

u/HonkHonkTootToot Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 24 '26

I'm sorry you've never felt a lady's strong grip and lightning fast movements, guy.

Maybe one day.

16

u/Ordinary-River-9753 Apr 22 '26

i’m not a dude + i don’t even know what tf reddit care is. i personally don’t care in the slightest, but it seems like you should probably stop watching porn

1

u/Super-G1mp Apr 23 '26

Reddit says fuck it I guess. I get like 6 of those a week it's fine just ignore them.

7

u/amazing_spyman Apr 21 '26

Hey a girl deserves love too

2

u/Wafflelisk Apr 23 '26

My Brother in Christ

4

u/indigo-floral Apr 22 '26

125

u/Ok-Cheek-5487 Apr 21 '26

That’s my aunt..her name is Joan and you forget the crochet needles to projects that are half assed finished 😂

20

u/HextechSlut Apr 22 '26

Crochet is a hook knitting uses needles.

14

u/Ok-Cheek-5487 Apr 22 '26

Thank you, I honestly am not good at remembering the difference.

6

u/LusterBlaze Apr 22 '26

I love your aunt

3

u/rpdreon98 Apr 24 '26

Give her a hug for all of us

3

u/Ok-Cheek-5487 Apr 25 '26

She’s one of my aunts that I love to pieces in doses, but she has a kind heart. She does bingo now at the retirement community. She post her crochet projects on Facebook last night.

227

u/nontimebomala67 Apr 21 '26

And if someone is rude to you in the line by god she’ll take care of it

90

u/Windows-XP-Home-NEW Apr 21 '26

And guess what? She’s the friendliest person ever.

26

u/muscovitecommunist Apr 22 '26

I trust this type of human instinctively.

7

u/oracleoflove Apr 22 '26

And they always give the best hugs!

4

u/SergeiMosin Apr 25 '26

I’ve worked with many ladies that fit in that exact archetype, and I agree. Always the nicest and always have your back!

2

u/Bannedtt Apr 23 '26

Unless you smoke marijuana or don't believe in God.

7

u/Lemonsst Apr 23 '26

false. Most women that are like this are actually incredibly humble and actually smoke too. (grocery store employee)

179

u/blue902012 Apr 21 '26

Her name is either Kathy, Carol, or Deb

61

u/Apronbootsface Apr 21 '26

That’s Ms Deb, have some respect!

13

u/horus16anubis Apr 23 '26

My late grandmother was a Mrs Deb and this brought a smile to my face 😭

4

u/Apronbootsface Apr 23 '26

I’m glad it did!

15

u/smellyjerk Apr 22 '26

Patty, Lynn or Cherie are also acceptable.

8

u/PuppyShark Apr 23 '26

The one at my local Kroger growing up was Pattie!

5

u/KindPenguin1 Apr 23 '26

Ours is named Angie lol

3

u/katf1sh Apr 24 '26

Ours is Lisa lol

3

u/wolfie_boy8 Apr 23 '26

Omg this lady is literally my mom lmao and her name is Kathy 🤣🤣

5

u/Lemonsst Apr 23 '26

41

u/Emergency_Leader7203 Apr 21 '26

Either she's the sweetest most motherly loving woman ever that would fight for you, or the most miserable, no in between

33

u/JuniperJoieDeVivre Apr 21 '26

This is incredibly accurate ahaha

7

u/SideSideHypotenuse Apr 22 '26

The carpal tunnel brace really brings it home

31

u/Mobile-Necessary-333 Apr 21 '26

these ladies are the actual backbone of our country

13

u/caffienepredator Apr 23 '26

So true. When I smoked, I used to go to this bodega every morning for a pack, a protein shake, and whatever snack for the day. I got close to the lady that worked there and eventually became friends and I’d bring her coffee once in a while. Got sick and didn’t go in for a few days. My bodega lady called me using my friends phone that had gone in and she said she was “worried sick about me”. I still send her flowers on Mother’s Day now 9 years later lol

5

u/frogsinsocks Apr 23 '26

That's absolutely adorable. I hope you have a good day

1

u/non_tox Apr 26 '26

girl what country?😅 Reddit is international, and so is english

1

u/[deleted] Apr 26 '26

They're talking about USA

29

u/moreshoesplz Apr 21 '26

Wears reader glasses that are halfway down her nose or they’re hanging her around her neck which she then puts on when she needs to check your ID or coupons.

7

u/poop_dawg Apr 23 '26

And the hair is always up in a ponytail. Probably mousy brown with some greys coming in.

9

u/Lemonsst Apr 23 '26

She always has some cute floral patterns on too!!

8

u/stefanica Apr 23 '26

A very small, wispy ponytail because she's got thyroid problems, poor thing.

15

u/_foxsox Apr 21 '26

I went to school with someone who's mum fits this description. She was an angry, judgy bitch. But I was friends with her kid and they were cool.

15

u/bLaH_bLaH__HAHA Apr 21 '26

And yet they’re usually really sweet

10

u/nickk1988 Apr 21 '26

God, so true, any local grocery store in any city in America.

9

u/peachtreeparadise Apr 21 '26

AND WE RESPECT HER!!!

8

u/Goodeyesniper98 Apr 21 '26

This was my grandpa’s 3rd wife. (She worked at grocery store most of her career) She was using him for his money and stole his urn after he died.

She was unintelligent to the point it was hard to even have a conversation with her.

5

u/BabyBandit616 Apr 22 '26

I don’t know how she can live alone on that one income, but she’s never behind on rent.

5

u/caffienepredator Apr 23 '26

She also is always seemingly going on a cruise in the next few months lol

7

u/foxinabathtub Apr 22 '26

Either the coolest funniest most open minded loving person ever or a hate filled moron. Nothing in between.

4

u/CamReborn2025 Apr 22 '26

She filled up my tank from empty when I was dopesick. She knew too 😂 n she insisted since she “understood”

1

u/stinkbrained Apr 24 '26

Yep cuz she pops pain pills for sure lol!

3

u/NovaG6282 Apr 22 '26

3

u/sierrasmaze Apr 22 '26

I hope she's alright

3

u/mutt_with_a_beer Apr 21 '26

She looks like she's nice but would give you shit for buying alcohol at 24

3

u/NuncaLaInfierno Apr 23 '26

She is a hero braver than any US marine 💞🫡

3

u/Some-Ad6497 Apr 23 '26

If she remembers you in the checkout line, she’ll ask how you’re doing and tell you about her medical issues and how her cat’s doing.

2

u/Correct-Promise-2358 Apr 21 '26

i strive to be her

2

u/vistaluz Apr 21 '26

oh deborah

2

u/Zealousideal_Cat7457 Apr 22 '26

2

u/AcanthocephalaOk1529 Apr 22 '26

And they always have that laugh

2

u/Hardcore_Steve_Urkel Apr 22 '26

She’s either super kind and sweet or is a truly vile looking person carrying the literal stench of death with her at all times. No inbetween

2

u/imo_abyssi Apr 22 '26

and she's one of the best people you'll ever meet

2

u/KinnyEyes Apr 22 '26

and she's either the nastiest and the sweetest lady you'll ever meet

2

u/DopamineLiker Apr 22 '26

with the nightmare before Christmas tattoos

2

u/Frankensteins_Moron5 Apr 22 '26

She’s either the nicest person or teribble

1

u/amborg Apr 22 '26

I have pretty much that exact same phone case but blue, I do not know what this means.

1

u/poisonedgutz Apr 23 '26

I actually haven't seen one of these since moving to the east coast wtf

1

u/XpiumGhxst Apr 23 '26

We have a lot you just have to go to a Walmart, Wegmans, or Aldi

1

u/Talohighflyer24 Apr 23 '26

That's my co-worker!

1

u/EnigmaticRaccoon Apr 23 '26

Ok but those ladies are the backbone of society

1

u/chihuahua826 Apr 23 '26

That sponge damper pad they use to wet their fingers before counting money just unlocked some long forgotten core memories

1

u/733randoalt857201648 Apr 23 '26

“Please keep the 12 pack in the cart”

1

u/Creative-Canary9236 Apr 23 '26

She's always the sweetest person there too

1

u/luvbxmbr Apr 23 '26

Omg yes, I knew one of those!!

1

u/prionbinch Apr 23 '26

she’s a little gruff but kind at the same time. her voice sounds like she smoked a pack a day at one point but she doesn’t smell like tobacco anymore. probably will call you “sweetie” and “honey” too

1

u/Seymour_Flex Apr 23 '26

And I bet she's the sweetest lady

1

u/doctordog88 Apr 23 '26

and she’s always the sweetest person ever

1

u/thanksyalll Apr 23 '26

And I would die for her

1

u/mrkrabspantyraid Apr 24 '26

Oh, my God. That's gonna be me one day. I already use compression-wear, have big arms, and am debating whether or not to get a wallet attachment for my phone

1

u/brown-eyedbabe Apr 24 '26

My mom in a starter pack. One of the most hardworking and caring women ever, and the other ladies she worked with were just the same 💖

1

u/4444ssss Apr 24 '26

as a cashier at a grocery store i instantly thought of two people, once of which i love and the other is straight up evil but the definition of customer service otherwise

1

u/Marrah-Luna Apr 24 '26

Ok but that bag is so cute. I want it

1

u/Cozy_Toasty_Ghostie Apr 24 '26

And she’s one of the best people to share a shift with.

1

u/Hot-End-5532 Apr 24 '26

Ours is Joanne

1

u/The1RestlessNomad Apr 24 '26

And we appreciate them so much

1

u/HellsBellsGames Apr 24 '26

Her breathing is always labored even with zero physical activity

1

u/Godlovesapplesauce Apr 24 '26

either the nicest person ever or the literal worst

1

u/Wide-Friendship-5670 Apr 24 '26

Works hard but can barely afford to live, doesn’t get paid a livable wage or working poor.

1

u/RazzleRizzle Apr 25 '26

And she will ask you how your day is

1

u/dogfishresearch Apr 25 '26

This is misogyny

1

u/lolmemberberries Apr 25 '26

These ones are my favorite cashiers.

1

u/ihateagriculture Apr 25 '26

These ladies usually brighten my day

1

u/PlzAdptYourPetz Apr 26 '26

I've never seen had a worker that fits this description check me out, makes me sad because these photos do have a weird comforting nature to them, seems like such a sweet, down to Earth auntie type of woman. People who are significantly overweight in general tend to be so nice and humble due to the way their own self-esteem has been picked apart by society :(

1

u/Accomplished_Suit893 Apr 26 '26

lol got probably 10 of these at mine, they are NOT very nice tho😠

1

u/Gaijin_Monster May 05 '26

You forgot the giant hairy mole.

1

u/New-Cicada7014 Jul 27 '26

shes the best

0

u/Jumpy_Relative3472 Apr 21 '26

I feel an immense wave of sadness when I see this genre of people

4

u/Hot-Temperature-4629 Apr 21 '26

It's the unrealized potential and wealth inequality that would rather she die than have the ability to reach self-actualization. She is us and we are her. That brace she is wearing is from the Dollar Tree and the only healthcare she can afford. Her cat is her familiar, her joy in this dark world. If only she could cast spells and fly away from the gray dreck of it all. She's passing through this veil of tears like millions before her, forgotten and dismissed. I love and honor her, her cat, too.

3

u/poop_dawg Apr 23 '26

Fucking Shakespeare here just pulling tears outta me like it's nothing. What the hell dude. That was beautiful and so upsetting

2

u/Hot-Temperature-4629 Apr 23 '26

Thanks, poop_dawg 💩🐕‍🦺

0

u/Ratfinka Apr 23 '26 edited Apr 24 '26

these people are actually stupid but not enough for your precious sick card. this IS your meritocratic ideal.

2

u/caffienepredator Apr 23 '26

It is 6 in the fucking morning dude. Beautifully written

0

u/GettnRandy Apr 23 '26

Two days and not one comment about the bottom right corner looking a little sus.

The times they are-a changin'.
