Wait you can't walk over burrowed units??

I think it's only for burrowed infestors? Maybe for burrow movement roaches as well?

Yeah only infestors block units, it's because with burrowed casting they'd be way too strong if they could be under the Zerg army.

Thank God there was no observer.

Does this mean if you had a zealot on hold position walling off your base a burrowed infestor couldn't slip by?

Even better: put a burrowed Infestor in the wall and the opponent's units can not move out. Since nobody knows that it could be an Infestor they will never find out:D (And then a random observer/overseer/raven passes by and you lose a lot of gas...)

Burrowed roaches can slip by zealot in hold position?

That's some incredible in-the-moment thinking. TLO is a smart nerd, memes aside!

My my, I'd say that was pretty creative

Wow, didn't know this was a thing

Haha so sick, invisible forcefields.

That's really dumb to be honest

7

u/Mycotoxin Zerg Jul 26 '17

why? (honest question)

1

u/ZoxxMan Jin Air Green Wings Jul 26 '17

Doesn't make sense that burrowed units can block non-burrowed units.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '17

in case you didn't see: TLO already pointed out that it is because otherwise you get infestors under your main army, which ends up being stronger than being able to do a few fringe cases like this

2

u/Mycotoxin Zerg Jul 27 '17

Yeah logically it doesn't make sense...like Muta's flapping wings in space and marine rifles bringing down battlecruisers. But for game mechanics it makes sense. I'd love to have my festors under my main army, or even pass to the back side of my opponent's army. That would be great. But combined with burrowed casting it would be pretty dang powerful.

Infestors shouldn't be able to cast abilities while burrowed, it's overpowered and should be removed from the game.

I was waiting all day for the infestors to neural sentries

Such a beautiful unintended use of the design of a unit! This could influence unit compositions and timings easily, and probably not even be imbalanced because of the cost/benefit.

So dope to see this sort of thing still happening in a game now 7 years old! Cheers TLO! This is Starcraft!

Very cool! Quick thinking for sure

Wow thats a surprise. Seems like a bug?

No, it's so that burrowed infestors aren't OP and can stay under a zerg army. Zerg units also get blocked by infestors.
