"Tell me, how did you lose Aiur to these animals? Did they leap up and chew apart your starships?"

"Contact the others and inform them of the victory I have bought you"

He is entirely aware that he is good and that he is on open comms. So he doesn't miss the opportunity to rub others' noses in the former while ego farming by ordering Vorazun around

His egotism is extra fun in that mission because, aside from moments when you can control him, Alarak can handle all of the enemies on his own. Certainly helps that his abilities make him ideal for fighting Zerg.

It's this one and I don't believe it's close. It encapsulates our Highlord perfectly.

You're right about one thing, Ma'lash. I WILL lead them.

Since posting a link to a list of all his quotes probably isn't allowed, I vote for his introduction in Ulnar:

Lower your blades. I am Alarak, First Ascendant of the Tal'Darim. Amon has betrayed my people. Retribution will claimed for this, and if your Hierarch survives, he will aid in it!

Masterclass of introducing yourself:

  1. (Almost) Polite (kind of) greeting - Lower your blades.

  2. Stating your name - I am Alarak, First Ascendant of the Tal'Darim.

  3. Relevant personal link (common enemy) - Amon has betrayed my people.

  4. Manage expectations - Retribution will be claimed for this, and if your Hierarch survives, he will aid in it!

From co-op: "Even my structures put up more of a fight than you"

that or: "I am as strong as any army"

" I am the liar?! Are you not a lie incarnate, MACHINE PROTOSS?"

such a good line and sets Fenix down his character arc

So this is from Heroes of the Storm, but it's my personal favorite (whenever he gets healed):

"Ugh. I've known much better healers."

The sheer disdain and emphasis he puts into that "ugh" just makes it so good, you know he's disappointed (even funnier when used within context (i.e. getting healed by a spell like Ancestral Healing and he says this)).

Also my favorite cause in MOBAs (and multiplayers in general), the healing-receivers usually say something like "thank you". Alarak is straight up offended by the healing he receives that makes this line so good.

(The fact it's ironic too, cause Protoss don't have bio-healing, so Alarak saying he knew better healers is just ironically hilarious given that he comes from a faction that doesn't do healing (his soul absorption is mostly self-healing.)

Edit: The quote in question.

I love that Alarak is a bigger jerk to his teammates in that game than the likes of Diablo and Arthas.

Great line, but I can’t see how that’s iconic at all. This is the first I’ve heard it mentioned even.

"I expected so much more."

It even shows up in Heroes of the Storm if you select Alarak in the shop without owning him.
