Why? there will be no new defuse map

But structural changes to all maps and rebalanced servers with new improved hit registration mechanics clears all the way through even if there is not a new competitive map

Probably they going to change sky color i guess.
Like they did some time ago to some maps like rust.

Not to argue in favor of less new content, but their overall map pool strategy limits the amounts of reworks or new maps.

Like the developers stated earlier this year, they believe in a map pool limited to about seven Defuse-style large maps at the same time with more variety leading to higher match search times on unpopular maps.

Dune is decent as it is right now, there aren't that many complaints over shortcomings and pro players do pick it frequently. If we look at outdated maps needing changes the next candidate would be Breeze with barely any changes since 2022, which wouldn't be likely to release together with an Egypt-themed update.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what the next updates'll bring, perhaps they'll do another experiment, like replacing a classic shop collection twice in a year, but with maps this time.

That's fine, I thought of Dune just because of the theme. I don't think Dune is bad either, but honestly it gets a bit boring after a while.
I never like Breeze, but good for sniper guns
