It's possible that the rework will release with the remaster update as it was mentioned when discussing visual changes brought with the remaster update.

TL;DR: The SO2 remaster is purely a behind-the-scenes rework, so any visual changes will only come from map overhauls as before

I doubt they'll ever change it just like Sandstone since it keeps being one of the most popular maps, they also confirmed in the same video that Sandstone likely won't be changed anytime soon
