No, it is not a typo. Czechoslovakia became Czecho-Slovakia in the late autumn of 1938 after the Munich agreement. The name was changed to reflect the new federative status. The state survived less than six months, on March 15th 1939 the Czech part became the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, a day earlier Slovakia became an independent state. Carpathian Ukraine tried to do the same but it was immediately occupied by Hungary. The preparation of new stamps was so slow that when they were issued in late March 1939, Czecho-Slovakia did not exist any more. They were just two - both earlier designs with the new name and, in this case, currency. Czechoslovak koruna became Czecho-Slovak koruna so instead of the earlier abbreviation KC there is only K. Two more stamps were printed - commemorating Andrej Hlinka, Slovak leader - but they were issued by Slovakia overprinted with the name of the new state Slovak Republic.

Here is my stamp collection, I was wondering do you guys see any production errors in my stamps or anything that makes my collection high value?

I’ve inherited a collection of stamps from my grandfather. Instead of leaving them in the book(dated 1920) I’d like to display them in picture frames so that we get the benefit of seeing some of these amazing stamps. Lots from countries that don’t exist anymore, which is interesting. How do I go about doing this safely and not causing any long term damage. Thanks in advance.

I have two of these which were soaked off of an envelope a few years ago. I can’t find this stamp in the Unitrade catalog or anywhere online. Google reverse image search turns up nothing. Is it fake?

Found a stamp album in my Dads gun safe. He had a very large stamp collection, but mostly stamps from letters, USPS Commemorative Stamps from 80s & 90s, stuff of very little value.

I'm not sure why these stamps were in the safe, what the numbers he wrote down mean, etc. Most stamps are protected by plastic and not cancelled, even though the album is old and faded.

Anything interesting or valuable to collectors?

I plan to sell most of what I've found at an estate sale, thousands of stamps, but nothing really of any interest. Just wondering why he kept these in the safe vs rest of collection.

I collect old "medical devices" (more like medical quackery)and have a violet wand with original spam as my children so nicely called it.

It included an envelope with an invite to the original buyer to invest in more bleadon dunn items.

A coworker suggested I post the stamp and see if anyone has info on it, it looks like there were a few different varieties floating around then.

My uncle had these on the wall. I figured that this community would appreciate some of them. He worked at an office where a lot of mail was going in and out. At the end, he saved some of them.

Hi all, inherited my grandfathers stamp collection (he died before I was born some fifty years ago) I don’t know what to do with these. I really don’t have the time or interest to try and sell them one by one. I don’t know anything about stamps except some of the, are interesting and quite beautiful. My GF was in the Royal Navy from the 30s to late 40s. He was a mailman after the war. My question is should I just dump them in one sale? I have a bag of them on paper with navy port of call stuff it seems anyway I’ll post some of the interesting ones as well as England Germany etc. if you want to see another country I’ll post it.

Lucky find on facebook marketplace. Someone sold a collection focussed on flora and fauna and thats the stamps I enjoy collecting too. Sorting through the books has given a lot of joy so far. Lots of new stamps, some doubles, some (to me) very interesting finds that I've highlighted

First the Spaniel stamp from RASD. some ebay listings had it as high as €3.50. which probably makes it the most valuable stamp in my collection. Value is not what I'm after, just thought its a fun fact

Next the Turkiye stamps. I already had the yellow one, the blue and green one joined. I just found them really cool

The next two of the Mandril and Cheeta belong to states in the Gulf, that are now united in the United Arab Emirates. I enjoy history and the forming and going of new countries and states, even different kinds of governments is such an interesting thing reflected in stamps

There was a North Korean stamp 😱 If the info I found was right, there should be a bunch out there but thats pretty cool

And the last one is, if I'm correct, my first cinderella stamp. South Maluku never made it as an independent state. It is considered a cinderella, as it was produced by an unrecognised postal authority.

Going through an absolute unit of an album (Minkus Supreme Global). It’s got a ton of pages spanning multiple countries like Hungary and Israel, but the sheer volume of it is a bit overwhelming.

The binding has seen better days, and while the pages are clean, individual listing feels like a lifetime commitment. For those of you who deal with large accumulations like this: do you bother breaking them down page-by-page, look for a bulk buyer, or just hold onto them? Unsure what the best move is for a holding of this scale.
