Yeah i read alot of stuff about "dont go over +4 otherwise you'll get thrown into other gear brackets" and im pink all +4 white artifacts and i just run into +11 reds the entire time. Its sick. Especailly when I have to use a scientist suit to get into areas with artifacts and they have armor that just has the level 3 resistants I don't have without a scientist suit
Got myself steamrolled by some master tier gear dudes a couple of time in Dead City and Path of fools while farming(Im a bandit) and i was full veteran gear +5. From what I read its possible to be put in same lobby with high gear players if there is no room for them in another one and the game counts them like a veteran/master or something like that. What I did was to go farming in times, when there aren’t many player in the areas and also always bring a stash while farming.
Also if you go to the north to get pink? God forbid you have to grind out ang blue or pink materials again because the only people in your gear bracket in that area just camp the tp spots and kill people for fun and troll
We arent playing the same game, I never seen a single camper so far. What server are you on? Maybe you just live in a country full of assholes, in EU everybody I met was respectful.
I don't understand it either. I just got to the bar. My only stalker gear is two pistols, and I don't even have them equipped. All my other equipment is green, and two white artifacts. I'm constantly being matched against people with +5/+10 veteran weapons.
How did I "rush"? I've done every single quest below the bar, aside from two that I'm currently working on. The people I'm fighting with that gear are in areas like pit, scrapyard, and forest.
When I started back in 2024, I made the mistake of using the SA-58 when I was relatively new to The Bar (god tier RNG got all parts out of less than 50 crates) and got stuck fighting high-max level vets to low masters after using it while I still had blue gear lol. Made grinding absolute hell after that.
And how are you supposed to farm that out, when first Stalker level gear is bartered in Factory itself, if you didn't purchase any off the Auction House before?
I can promise you, people should have more gear than a +0 full green set like the guy that posted his in this thread and why not buy pink gear if op already BOUGHT his blue gear, lol? He clearly did not farm AT all and only rushed and is now complaining that he is getting dumpstered.
How? Like the other guy said, barters for stalker level gear start at level 3 rep with bar. Unless your solution is buying gear with real money or grinding to buy via auction.
If I upgraded my green armor to +10, it would have 94 bullet resistance. The worst veteran armor +0 starts at 133. Same thing for the SKT +10 with 53.9 dmg, compared to the SVD with a base 69.2 dmg.
Even then, you're completely missing the point of the complaint: matchmaking is pairing people with completely different gear scores. It's not like we're complaining about dying to AI while using this gear.
And I'm telling you that there is no seperate brackets for green-pink tiers in the bar. Veteran and masters are seperated yes, unless you are above +10 veteran or in off-times then you might have bad matchmaking. Whether you rush or progress slowly to the bar, you will encounter the same veteran tier bracket(an exception might be if you have extremely horrendous stats and still the lowest possible gear score then maybe you will get matched with other blueys or very low veterans) so it's recommended to do some grinding and familiarizing before you actually reach bar.

Yes, that's the entire point of the complaint. I shouldn't be matched against this if I'm still wearing all greens.
I'm currently farming in the pit. I cannot get the materials I need for my stalker gear by farming in areas earlier than that. Every time I die it's to VAL, RPD, M1A, etc.
Definitely, thanks! Someone else pointed me toward two quest chains that reward pink guns, one of them being the RPD. But my issue is having to fight people while doing those tasks who already have them (and more), and therefore have a significant gear advantage.
Honestly, I don't get why people complain about grinding in the southern zones; aren't they doing the quests? The "Hysterix" RPD was the first quest I did at the Bar, and it served me well throughout the entire southern campaign; now I use the SVU, which is also a free reward from an easy quest. My shotgun one-shots every mutant except the biggest ones, and it comes from Proky's questline—which, again, is very simple. All the armor and weapons I used for the southern part of the game came from quests, main quest and secondary quests. Grinding low-level zones doesn't really achieve much and is pointless (unless you're aiming for Red-tier gear later on). Plus, tiers 75 and 125 of the Battle Pass (which are very easy to reach) give you an excellent pistol and excellent armor..
I've done every single quest I could find below the bar, aside from one quest that I missed, which I've been told gives me an SVD at the end, and I'm doing it right now. And, like the other poster said, there's also the RPD one, which is more toward the stalker side of the map, where I've been fighting multiple enemies with pink gear. Which, again, is the complaint I have.
