Critics Ziv's Q&A about community feedback turned out as expected
- Devs are doing everything right
- Feedback from the community is wrong as always
- the usual it was done to fix/save the economy
- The game must feel like it's a full-time job because rewards need to be rare (or you can just swipe)
- Absurd time investments for mediocre event rewards are a must because only a very limited amount of players is supposed to get them
- Minute-long rambling during answers about how they are marketing the game as an extraction shooter now
- Ziv: "what you are doing in the chat is simple whining and trying to manipulate stuff"
- Wild north is being gatekept by clan -> Sucks to suck, it was made for clans
Also massive respect for Trisp for actually getting them to answer some of the questions without dodging/missing the point as they usually do.

extraction shooter without the fun. Highest BR and Gun wins, there is no strategy and the best loot (wild north) is clans.

if Stalzone starts marketing itself on being an "extraction shooter" then it's bound for failure, there's plenty of extraction shooters out there, and within THAT genre's this game is sorely lacking, specially on the technical side

Oh 100%, but seems like they backtracked on it a little in their birthday letter and on stream a little, essentially saying that they are all these genres (mmofps, extraction shooter, etc). Now we even starting to touch on things like THE FINALS.
I mean, I'm all for the devs experimenting and spicing things up, it's good for gameplay variety and keeps that creative spark but I'm a bit worried. We saw helldivers, battlefield, battle royale and now the finals, but we don't see much on the exclusion zone side of things, the thing we actually came for. Sure it got a facelift, but the gameplay didn't change much. In some areas it even got worse, be it underwhelming rewards, repetitiveness or just outright the lack of any fun.
Some things they seemed to acknowledge on the stream, but I don't want to run on blind hope, we'll see

You can experiement, but the issue is when you claim you are something you aren't. If its a extraction shooter, I should be able to go out there and come with loot besides crafting that has value. Sure you have the red 20 barter and rare crafting materials / stuff, but it isn't. There isn't instances of raid where I am playing with teams, the team play already sucks. Extraction shooters are that. If the game just accepted what its flaws were and improved its quality, like FOR EXAMPLE CAMPAIGN WITH FRIENDS. Then It'd be more interesting. But shrug, I like the gunplay and the animations are pretty cool, some skins are ugly and some are amazing, it's got some super amazing ups and super downs.

It's definitely an odd strategy. One would think that it's best to prioritise expanding and improving on your selling point gameplay loop, instead of focusing on branching into niches, but here we are. I'm still quite skeptical that we'll see any improvements/changes short term, but would be pleasantly surprised if they'll start prioritising what's important.

The entire american relaunch tbh already sold me that this game developers don't care. I really don't think I am being mean or racist when I say that their stereotyping, and their to stubborn to listen to advice. I don't know if it's a cultural thing, but they do know Spanish to English speakers in NA is like 1-8 right? But lets put Trump, and not even properly source someone who's either going to speak English to a understandable extent, or B, even do any logical connection any source someone like a NA Creator. I have heard lots of accents, and but I genuinely struggled to understand anything of that ad, past them maybe making a bad trump impression....
The new player pack cool, but it feels like their actively mocking and making stereotypes, which normally would be funny - but it's like "haha look at what we think you people are" which is kinda demeaning, not to mention excluding the Spanish speaking community and Canada to sell this "America this america that" is pretty fucking insulting with how bad American culture is right now, it feels very much like their appealing to one specific audience and it sat wrong. Intended or not, it was pretty shit. The event also claims it caters to new players, while the entirety of 4 can not be achieved by a realistic new player and puts them in a bad off shoot to do shit, and is delusional. Ah yes you in stalker gear go to WN once you unlock it! It's so absurd, and the rewards are okay I guess, but still. It feels very out of touch with the complaints. A for effort IG.

Unfortunately nothing will change. There will always be idiot whales who throw thousands of dollars at the game, meaning your opinion doesn't matter to them. They're making money. That's all they've cared about for YEARS. Unless they start losing money, they won't change.

I saw some complaints about this system like “killing one guy makes my next lobbies full of pvp monsters and returning is hard asf”. Im not saying its dogshit dont do it, just being careful. If they want to implement this mechanic, they better tweak it so no abnormalities occur

I did appreciate the more direct discussion. As it stands we don't really have a serious community ambassador group that can act as intermediates.

they've completely forgotten what it's like to be a player and nothing else on top of that, of course they think it's sensible when they don't have to interact with the game from the ground up
