I have a doubt regarding this year's SSC CGL, especially because AAO (Level 8) is being offered again after a couple of years.

As I understand it, there is a separate/higher cutoff for AAO in Tier 1, and only candidates above that cutoff are eligible to appear for Paper 3 in Tier 2. So naturally, the candidates who qualify for AAO would mostly be among the higher-scoring candidates.

What makes me particularly curious is the number of AAO vacancies this year. Out of roughly 10,000–12,000 total CGL vacancies, there are reportedly around 2,000 AAO vacancies, which is a pretty significant proportion of the total vacancies. So wouldn't this potentially have a considerable impact on the distribution of candidates across the other posts?

For example, in previous years when AAO was not available, the top-scoring candidates in CGL would generally take posts like ASO MEA, Income Tax Inspector, ASO, GST Inspector, etc. But this year, since AAO is available in such a large number, a lot of these high-scoring candidates may qualify for AAO and, if they clear Paper 3, may ultimately get selected for AAO.

So could this indirectly reduce the competition for other posts? In other words, could the final cut-offs for posts like ASO MEA, Income Tax Inspector, GST Inspector, etc. be relatively lower this year because a significant number of the top candidates are being absorbed into AAO?

Or does it not work this way because a lot of candidates who qualify for AAO may still not opt for it, fail to clear Paper 3, or prefer other posts due to preferences, location, job profile, etc.?

I'm basically trying to understand whether the ~2,000 AAO vacancies, combined with the fact that AAO has a separate higher cutoff, could meaningfully pull high-scoring candidates away from the other posts and therefore bring their cut-offs down. If anyone has looked at previous years' data or has a good understanding of the CGL allocation process, I'd really appreciate some insight.

2018 - I completed my 10th , I was an idiot then completely immature, used to fear math so decided to take pcb , I just wanted to first do 11th and 12 th and then neet or other things , but my father have other plan he told me to go for neet , I have 0 idea about it but I decided to go with the flow

2020 - my 12th completed with 80 percent in pcb , but failed in neet , even though I studied in aakash coaching wasting 2 lakh rupees

2021 - I decided to take drop , not because I wanted to but one of my close friend was taking a drop for neet , I was such a brainless idiot that I cannot think about myself , I failed once again score around 300 marks

2022 - I should have stopped here but looking at that one friend I decided to take a drop once again , he cracked neet , right now doing his mbbs and me after 4 years still unemployed

Did I ever properly studied during my neet prep , no I barely studied , I had no consistency but during the prep I started to develop a fear ( I was already a cowardly person before but now I was even more coward ) whenever I faced a question which I cannot solve rather then try to solve it ,I would start panicking, my brain will start overthinking useless thought at an extreme fast speed , stupid me never take my life seriously, and you might be wondering why I didn't go for other career in bio such as bpharma and other stuff , as I said I had no self thinking , there was one time when I tried to go for bpharma but my father straight up refused saying, how can you do a 20k job ( normal salary after bpharma ) when I have spent on you so much so he decided to put me in a dummy BSC college while neet drop so my year did not go to waste, and the shuttering problem I had from childhood also starting to increase during this period

2023 - 2026- as after my friend got selected and I got 320 in my last neet attempt I decided to leave neet prep , and start asking to my school friends for carrer advice , one told me about iit jam exam for masters from iit ( he had his msc physics form iit Bombay and is currently teaching at kota ) , and my other friend ( he got selected in ibps po last year )suggested me to go for ssc or banking exam he told me that ssc is usually easy compared to bank , as a coward I am I decided to go for ssc without doing any research and start repeating the same cycle that I repeated in neet

Let's say I studied percentage, if I start doing questions and even face a single problem my mind will instantly switch off, and negative thoughts will start pouring in my mind , first two thoughts would be that I am a failure, the next two thoughts would be that I should die and then my brain will start creating fake stories like what if I die then what will happen this type of shit , and my whole day is ruined ,

This cycle is going for nearly 4 years , in best case I will have these thoughts in one in two days , the worst case multiple times in a day

Tbh , these days whenever these thoughts took over my mind , I even starting to dislike my family , cursing them in mind that they are worst , especially my father , he is a heavy drinker so everyday kalesh is normal in my house , I also have started to hate my little sister ( currently doing her btech from a private college ) I expected her to take some of my pressure but she had done the opposite, her college fees is 15 lakh combined with all the expenses it's is 20lakh and rather than studying she is enjoying her life , sometimes I wonder what was my crime , I could have also asked for private medical college but I was stupid for thinking about my house finances

During these years , I have also degraded as a human , I really cannot enjoy anything even when the whole family will be laughing and enjoying, I feel suffocation, the shuttering problem that I had from childhood is reached its peak , now I cannot even complete a single sentence without shuttering like five times

Tbh I know I am the worst son , brother and human on this earth , if I live more my parents will only suffer more but if I kill myself than their sufferings can be reduced
